    Schwass went into the middle, but he definitely started on Luffy. I think he actually got reported for hitting Luff. O'Brien going off, definitely hurt us big time, it stuffed up all the match-ups.

    O'Brien was a gun, he played a few blinders in '96 when Lockett was down. Carlton at Princes Park (What a game!), Hawthorn in Sydney H&A, then the QF too. We never saw the best of him because of both Eade and injury.

      FWIW, Goodes is clearly the second best ruckman over the last decade. Brownlow and B & F in 2003, Norwich RS 1999 and second ruck in 2002. Goodes' impact as a ruckman was arguably more important to the team between '96 and '05 than what Stafford's was. Thoughts?
