It depends on how you interpret the question. For me pretty close between the 4th quarters of the Brisbane game and the Geelong semi. I think the Brissie game; the comeback was so unexpected whereas in the Geelong and St Kilda games the momentum had turned in the third quarter. Plus as JF said, to win like that against such a hostile crowd (and to be there) made it even better.

Any quarter in which we scored more than Essendon and/or kept our score above theirs ever.

Plus, last quarter against cats. I still haven't even seen it. Just heard it on the radio whilst watching the wee score updater thing online. Nick Davis nearly provided me with a coronary!

he gave everyone at the ground a coronary - I though that was more nerve racking than the GF.

We (the spectators) had gone through so much emotion in that game - that the St Kilda game was like a walk in the park (well after 3/4 time that is!!!) When it came to the last quarter of the GF - I was buggered! As Rex said - "if you have some heart pills take em now!"
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

I wasn't nervous in the Geelong game as I was sure we wouldn't win. I still can't believe we did. For pure exhilaration and the sound of the crowd Davis' last goal was the best thing I have ever experienced at the footy. So I would have to say this was my favourite quarter. But there were so many in 2005 - we really were spoilt.

It's about time we got spoilt though. 2005 sorta makes up for all the heart ache we had suffered over the years (watching the last quarter against Essenscumb in 2001 the other night on fox footy still hurts like hell). Mind you i think we are due to be even more spoilt in the next few years.

From what I can recall I think '96 and '03 were better H&A seasons to watch than '05.

My faves, probably because they both were sensational in their own way, would be the last quarters in the SF and PF. Mind you, I didn't see much of either as they were actually on. Against Geelong I was convinced I was cursed and everytime I stopped watching by looking at my record we scored so I saw very little of that last 15 minutes until I saw the replay. For the Saints game I was watching it outside the SCG on my teeny little hand-held tele and the reception kept going in and out. Again the replay was where I REALLY watched it. Regardless, the FEELING while 'watching' these games live was amazing. And then there was that last five minutes of the GF....

                  Ooops!

I still have this problem with switching of the seasons in the southern hemisphere, despite living here for over a decade now. lLate March / April is instictively 'Spring' for me.

It was about 13 elapsed minutes I think from Buchanan's goal till the siren. At the time it seemed more like both 13 hours and 13 seconds simultaneously (if that makes sense).

Agree enitrely, no contest, after hearing all the rubbish about how wonderful Saints were (Rolls Royce midfield to our Holden), how sweet it was.....and no tension either as we kicked away 1.2.3.4.5.6.7.....
