Lots of great quarters, but the bookends probably stand out most for me. The final quarter of the GF (or at least, the final 3 minutes) was possibly the least enjoyable of all time - at the time. I could have sworn that time had, quite literally stood still. Goes without saying that the emotion at the end made up for the stress moments earlier.

But I also distinctly remember the first quarter of round 1 against the Hawks, too. Twas a beautiful spring afternoon at the SCG and I was back amongst the same familiar faces, most of whom I hadn't seen for 6 months. It was clear from the first few minutes that the Swannies looked like doing it easily in this particular game. The forward line was already running rampant and Bazza was having fun. Then, about halfway through the quarter, O'Keefe chases a hapless Hawk hard, runs him down from behind and lays a perfect tackle. I remember thinking to myself, "Yup, footy is back!"

IIRC we were up by about 10 goals at 1/2 time. It was on Foxtel so I only saw the first half whilst at my sisters

Do you have "Sensational Swans 2005"? We kicked about 8 goals in 8 minutes or something similar.

Destructive, you were so elephants that night I'm not surprised you've forgotten it. You were at the football, but I doubt you even remember that.

I'll have to go for that 2nd quarter against the Cats too. We were trailing at 1/4 time, Geelong having wasted chances to blow us away, then we booted the ball forward 10 times in 15 minutes, scoring goals 9 times, iirc.

                Great quarter for me.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

The Last Q against the Saints.
Closely followed by the 4 goals Davis q.

                    Same for me.

For a quick footy fix, popping the DVD in to watch just the last quarter Saints smash-up can't be beaten.

Usually though I just watch from halfway through Q3 when we were over 2 goals down and then on into Q4.

Yep, this is particularly good as you get the sense that most people in the football expect StKilda to kick away when they move out in front.

The last quarter against Brisbane. To be up there in front of a packed hostile crowd and to make a come back like that was just the best feeling.

                        And the celebrations afterwards.

Probably the most manic I have celebrated anywhere. The Pineapple Hotel was just going off. 99% full of rabid SWANS supporters!

I forgot about thr Richmond game. probably because we lost, although it was a sign of things to come, playing one qrtr of great football to win matches later in the season...and finals.

The Essendon game was good, just because it was Essendon that we beat

I personally liked the 4th quarter of the PF .

As it was so unexpected and totally exciting to watch.

I think this was the first time i actually jumped up with excitement during the game. As being in the crowd, I could see other swans fans jumping crazy for joy when goals were been kicked.

Also showing a friend the sights of Sydney on Boxing day, we saw a hugh swans flag been draged by a helicopter at the Opera house. Also during a Centrepoint tour where videos were shown about Australia and it culture, as says AFL (swans) is 'Australia's game' and showed some swans highlights for like a minute but no mention of RL which was good.
