Lots of great quarters, but the bookends probably stand out most for me. The final quarter of the GF (or at least, the final 3 minutes) was possibly the least enjoyable of all time - at the time. I could have sworn that time had, quite literally stood still. Goes without saying that the emotion at the end made up for the stress moments earlier.
But I also distinctly remember the first quarter of round 1 against the Hawks, too. Twas a beautiful spring afternoon at the SCG and I was back amongst the same familiar faces, most of whom I hadn't seen for 6 months. It was clear from the first few minutes that the Swannies looked like doing it easily in this particular game. The forward line was already running rampant and Bazza was having fun. Then, about halfway through the quarter, O'Keefe chases a hapless Hawk hard, runs him down from behind and lays a perfect tackle. I remember thinking to myself, "Yup, footy is back!"
