So 7/10 have won the rights. Does this mean....

..Sunday games will now be at 2:10/2:30pm again?

Personally i prefer the 1:10pm starts, but with 2:10pm starts, us in the Brewongle concourse don't get that annoying glare from the sun burning us to a crisp before the game.

    So which is it?

Might be answering my own question but i got this from a bigfooty poster who read the possible line up of the broadcasters 2007 onwards.

    Fri Night: Ch7 live

    Sat Arvo: Ch10/Fox live

    Sat Night: Ch10/Fox live

    Sunday: 1:10pm game Ch7 live

    2:10pm game Fox live

    2:10pm game Ch7 replay.

Week 1,2,3 of Finals split between Ch7/10

GF alternated between Ch7/10 each year.

I would assume channel 7 will want to provide the live feed for our Sunday home games therefore we will most likely still be at 1:10pm.

Maybe in VIC, SA, WA. But there's some feeling that northern markets will still not get FNF live.

      Sat Night: Ch10/Fox live
Same with this....next year they are all live or on 30 min delay regardless of whether Sydney/Brisbase play or not, but in '07 nothing is guaranteed of being live.

As a Melb based Swans supporter, the more 1.10 pm starts on Sundays the better, it means we do actually get to see the Swans play live.

I still don't see the reason why would Ch 7 schedule games on Sunday at 1:10 p.m. since they have no obligations to show a RL game afterwards. They might as well schedule it for later.

If this is the case, then the Melb based Swans supporters will be the ones to miss out, which has been my fear (I know it's a bit selfish) all along with 7 getting the rights back again.

Why, if you are Melbourne based swans supporter then you will see all Swans games out of Melbourne live on either FTA or Pay TV, with us only likely to be on Pay TV if the team is at the bottom of the ladder which is unlikely in the coming couple of years.

Whether it starts at 1.10pm or 2.10pm won't make a difference to the coverage.

So they can show 2 games on Sunday. When 7 last had the rights Sunday games started at 12.30.

I am very suspicious of the Friday night coverage in Sydney. There is NO WAY on this earth that 7 will sacrifice a massive ratings hit to show Friday night football live in Sydney.

They are after no.1 market share which means more re-runs of bad movies where they can at least put up a respectable fight against the league, rather than risk rating lower than SBS for a Kanagroos-Crows game for example where there is zero interest. Bottom line is unless the Swans are playing, AFL will rate an *

We can't afford pay TV, until the 1.10 Sunday matches were happening, we didn't get to see too much of the Swans on Sundays in Melb, because we are not a Melb team. So it does make a BIG difference to the coverage of the Swans in Melbourne. If 7 have the choice between showing the Swans in Melb or two Melb based teams, the 2 Melb based teams will win out every time.

BTW the same could be said about Swans games in Sydney, as you will get to see them all on Foxtel at some time during the week.

This is what I believe ch7 / ch10 will telecast in Sydney.

Friday Night: ch7 10:30pm* & Live on Pay
                    Saturday afternoon:ch10 Live
Saturday night: ch10 swans games live or near live, no swans at 10:30
Sunday: 2pm live game & 2nd half game live.

I totally hated sunday 1pm games in Sydney its too early.

Let's hope we get that...I'd be happy with that as long as I don't have to listen to McAvaney calling Swans games. I even prefer Walls to McAvaney
