A reminder to all Melbourne based supporters and for those travelling down from Sydney and other states to watch the Essendon game.

In order to make sure you get a ticket for the game with other Swans supporters and to be right up close and personal when the team runs out for the first time as "Reigning Premiers" then you will need to book your seats at the La Trobe street end of the stadium in Aisle 18 to 24 on level 1, which sits both sides of the race we will be using.

The cheersquad will be located behind the goals in one of those bays, I think Aisle 23 or 24.

As mentioned tickets usually go on sale 2 weeks before, but sometime the first round can be sold earlier so you may want to check ticketmaster7 in the next couple of weeks.

I came down for the Round 10 game against St Kilda last year and decided to get tickets to the other games in Melbourne that weekend. I went through the Ticketmaster website and got tickets. This was was on the 10/03/2005.(I have the email receipt and the E-Ticket). So I'm not sure why you couldn't get tickets more than 14 days out. Wierd.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

One of the top 5 WORST away trips I have ever made. I just remember standing out side Footy Park with about 25 flags (include 2 giant ones) waiting to be picked up. The plastic bag the biggies were in broke, with the flags falling into a muddy puddle. I was drenched to the bone, was cold tired and very very alone.

I love having a 3 person Cheer Squad at away matches, NOT.

Waving the wet flags was the highlight of my day.

I'm not sure, but I have a feeling that this is the case for all Essesndon home matches as they are ticket only. Most other matches you can just roll up on the day
