      I'll drink to that!

(It would be nice share a fine Red with Crouchy.)

Sure but how does it fare against a season on the booze?

I don't think it is only Mott he's referring to. I'm sure there have been a few over the years and maybe some current day players that might need the "enforcer" to stear them towards 2006 flag.

            Suggestions:

            Thewlis:
All suddenly disappeared from list after playing seniors in second season before Malceski.

            Powell:
Left Kangas straight after tradenot one to put football first

            Ed Clarke:
Gotta get that size from somewhere.
            Staying ahead of the game...

So any players now at other clubs now who might be spinning the bottle every other week?

Seriously, does the guy need to lighten up or what?!

As long as they do the work at training I don't see what the big problem is. These are guys in their late teens and early 20s and should be able to enjoy themselves as well, as long as they're professional about it.

Lighten up - pigs phucken arse !!!!

Ajn spelt out the names Powell, Thewlis, Clarke

I will add in more - Mott, Carey - lets add some more !!

These chosen players have a responsibility to themselves, the club and the fans

they have talent - do not abuse the talent, nor the gift or opportunity they have been given.

I only wish I was good enough to play at the highest level

make the most of your opportunity

If you want to party and play footy - do it at your own risk

ortherwise piss off and play at a lower level where you can party

                    and play

good on you crouchy - no wonder you won the player of the finals award

your efforts in beating 5 weagles that led to schneiders goal show your committment

Come on fellow posters I'm ready for some healthy discussion !

All I'm saying is that if I was a new draftee I'd prefer Nick Davis to be asigned as my mentor rather than Crouchy.

Crouchy's a phenomonal player and was inspirationsl during the finals but the kids should be able to stay out after 9 without Crouchy tapping them on the shoulder!!

I can tell! Actually, I'm with you - if partying plus professional sport is their want then they should try Richmond or the Australian cricket team.

Let's face it - most of the youngsters probably can't afford to go out in Sydney unless its happy hour at the backpackers in the Cross.

Yeah - me too. But I would be a recruit a little like Mott I think

That interview makes Crouchy sound like an old stick in the mud. He does like his horses tho' so maybe will turn into an old bugger who hangs out at the TAB every day in his old age?

Between Nick "A girl for Every Season" Davis and Old "monty Burns" Crouch - swans have looked a bit dusty this week. Ah the joys of being premiers (woo I like the sound of that).

If you ask me and some of you may think i am biased he never says anywhere that he is stopping them from drinking full stop he is stating the fact of truth that the club has low tollerance for heavy drinkers and some have been told to leave cos of it! I see no wrong there if i was a new player at the club i would take that piece of advice on board and be grateful that i was made aware of it before its to late. There is plenty of time to drink later after u have done what is required. After all they are being paid to put in the effort and try to make it in the big league no to go out and get yourself drunk every second nite!
