After reading Roos' comments I'm glad I bought a ticket to watch the Mariners v The Jets instead.

Too right. For the record, I meant the first game of the season and not the first Swans game.

I go there to unofficially start the footy season off, to get the proverbial cobwebs out of the system, to dust off the flag for yet another year.

I lugged my flagpole in the train this morning. Am wearing my clobber already. Will don my new Premiers scarf as soon as I log off at 445pm today.

Anyone hitting Percys before the game>? Or are we going straight in and nabbing seats?

no pre-match stuff, but off to Crowy after!

& if it rains, you might want to go nab that seat and ditch Percy's ha.

"Even if they are not playing, all the big name Sydney Swans players will be in attendance at the game and will be involved in pre-match AFL clinics (5-5.30pm) and an autograph signing session (5.30-6pm).

The gates open at 4.45pm with the main game to start at 7pm."

And this year there's so many new kids Barlow, Brabazon, Phillips, Prior, Simpkin, Thornton etc. etc.
And then there's Chambers & SuperTed.
Also it's interesting to see how the players have developed (last years game gave me the first inkling that LRT would progress).
