On the plus side, James is only 4 weeks away and Doyle 6.
Lets hope these 2 can get back and play some solid footy in the second part of the year. Same goes for fixter.
I think these 3 can basically right this season off.
BTW, i was just thinking, has anyone heard anything about O'Keefe? seems to have gone missing. not even in our best players list in the reserves??? what has happened?Adam Goodes - The great red and white hope. -
I was thinking the same thing, being from Melbourne, we don't here much about the 2's down here, so can anyone tell me what has happened to Ryan O'Keefe?Bloods

Fixter is absolutely sad. He may not play for the rest of the season as he will be out for 8 weeks plus coming back through the ressies, which may mean he could miss the whole of 2003, he is an important part of our team and this is a real shame.No.1 ticket holder of Nick Davis Fan Club...Comment

But then again based on Sydney's history, a hammy can be anything from 6 weeks to 6 months, so yes tragedy if the later.
On James, Christ I really wish we could get him out on the park.
If anyone can remember Plugger's last game on the SCG against Adelaide in 99, James & Fosdike both played, you will understand. Max's son can play the game, and could be the strong tall down back we are looking for.
I have never known anyone to have the injuries he has had. Now that IS a tragedy.Comment

When people criticise our drafting performance in 1998 with so many high picks it's worth remembering we drafted two top rated midfielders (both of whom are now becoming solid, dependable players, with the potential to be better than that) and two KPPs. If even one of Fitzy or James hadn't been cursed in the way they have, things would look a bit different because they both certainly knew how to play the game.
Will be great if James ever makes it back, but you have to wonder the effect all those injuries will have had on his confidence and mobility.
On Fixter, he is looking to be this year's "Ball" - but he's young enough to bounce back next year with a vengeance.Comment

He can get back this season. They are probably putting a worst case scenario of 6-8 weeks. At 6 weeks he is playing 2's at Round 14 and say back in the one's at Round 17/18, which means he still has time to add value to the team this year.
If he comes up he is a fresh, quality, running player raring to go, whereas those who have played all season are looking to hold their form and freshness, and combat injuries leading into the finals. Indeed trying to get a second wind in a long season.Comment

Charlie, don't feel too bad about putting the mozz on Fixter.
I reckon I did, because I backed him for the Brownlow at 1000/1 before the season, and the next week he breaks down.Comment
