    Umpires!!!!

    GO TO HELL!!!

    They are crucifying us!!!

3 free kicks at half-time..... don't know how many the Roos have, but they've had half a dozen gimmes, while at the same getting away with blue murder!

Has definitely been inconsistent, but the fact w've had over 20 clangers to halftime, skills have been poor, handling hasn't been clean, and have had almost as many handballs as kicks is more the problem.

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Yeah Charlie - the umpiring in this game is pathetic - 10 frees to 4 at half time. Even the boundary umps are against us - Ball penalized for OOF and Schneider kicks a bloody goal and they say he was out!!

I am SO bloody angry at the moment - but we aren't helping with out turnovers/fumbles etc. The Swans only have to stop giving the ball to the Kangas and we can win.

I think it's a mug's game to blame the umpires for losing, but we've definitely been dudded quite a few times. Ten to four at half time. Even worse it was 7-1 at quarter time, which is when we were really ripped off. At the same time though, some of our players need to learn not to lie on the ball.

Still, so far this looks like one of those games Paul Kelly described as one of the downs during the year. Plenty of fumbling, overrunning the ball, second to the contest, missing targets, etc. A lot of it is by our more experienced players too. However, I'd note that we saw many signs of that last week, but we were lucky that our opposition weren't able to capitalise on it. This week they have been to some extent, but not a large amount.

Will be interesting to see what happens in the second half. Playing badly and only three goals down gives us a very reasonable chance.

If Schneider's goal had been allowed, and if LRT's MARK hadn't been called out of bounds (since when could you only have one grab?).... we'd probably only be a goal behind.

And that's not counting any gimmes that the Kangas have had.

A second grab over the boundary is OOB.

So that accounts for one or two goals, what about the other four?

When I posted that the difference was only 17 points.

With the pathetic third quarter, the umpires are no longer the difference. But they were at one point.

A joke is a joke and that isn't funny. 7 free kicks to 1 in the 1st quarter and frankly we were never in it from there

Pathetic, terrible effort from the Swans.

I fear what will happen next week against Richmond at the 'G'.

I reckon the players that come in from the Canberra league are not prepared for the intensity of the AFL. ROK looked bloody hopeless and I know he isn't. The decision to pull out of the VFL is going to hurt us when we get a few injuries - like this week.

Only positive today was Schneider - he looks ready for the midfield and he is so clean with his disposal.

Cressa - please come back soon!

That's a pathetic excuse. Despite 7-1 free kicks in the first qtr we were only 2 goals down at qtr time. We had a few bad decisions against us in the second qtr, but kicking only 4 goals for the half and 5 to three qtr time is our own fault. You don't win games with that poor scoreline and it was indicative of how we played.

Not an excuse, but the umpiring was rat-@@@@. I hope they like it in Canberra because it's back up the country for them next week.

I missed the first quarter - and I'm pissed because its the first quarter of Swans H&A/finals footy I've missed since about rd 8 1997; didn't realise the kick-off time. I can't comment on that, therefore, but for the rest of the game I thought the umpires were a complete non-factor. In fact, towards the end I was thinking to myself that its the first game for ages where I hadn't sworn at the WM for a dumb decision (from a one-eyed perspective, of course).

The Swans were beaten by a better team, simple as that.

Does WM stand for White Maggots?

                              If so... that explains it.
