Why we will lose this week!

We will get done this week because Essendon are a far better side than us.
O'louglin will be underdone and he is a very important player.
Fletcher will be too good for Hall so with these two having quiet games goals may be hard to come by.
Also our midfield will be outclassed with guns like Jason and Mark Johnson is form and also class acts around the ground such as Lucas, McPhee,Bolton and Jacobs.

    Essendon by 10 goals

I'm happy to go in as the underdog. The boys will have to play very well to beat the Dons. Cupido is going to be a real worry and their young backline, bolstered with Fletcher, is going to be tough

In that case I agree wholeheartedly.

God, RWO is full of depressing gits.

We will spank these bombers from here to kingdom come, and will start hot favourites.

Get with the new world order.

Perhaps we should be that "GUN" Daniel MacPherson in.

Yeah, he will make a big difference ay?

Nice one. We might as well as drop dead. Dont tell me your are an bombers fan. Should be banned from this board, LOL. Anyway while it is a danger game i think sydney should get on top. Sydneys speed could find them out and we don't just rely on Hall for goals. Sydney by 24 pts. Hope we have Micky, Cressa and Saddo back and that they are ready.

you contradict yourself here, if mick wont play well coz he is underdone, how doesnt that affect fletcher??? i think fletcher would be worse off than what mick is

Essendon v Syd games are always close. The only blow-outs in recent times have been by Essendon, in Melbourne, in premiership or Preliminary form.

I reckon Hall is 30% better as a forward with O'Loughlin standing next to him. He's such a great leading mark, having one of the best pair of hands in footy beside him just puts the fear of God up backline players. Hasn't always equated to 30%more goals to him - but the forward pressure he exerts just seems to open up the goals. Schneider has benefited all year from Hall's tackling, but with Micky there as well, we really do look potent.

Fletcher - if he plays - is a shadow of himself this year. The Bombers have been risking him all year the way they rush him back from injury.

In the past Fletcher has torn us up...but I believe this has more to do with their mid-field pressure forcing long, blind kicks up the ground to too few options. With Micky back in, this will be no one-man forward line easily saved by having a single tall up back.

Don't fear Essendon's mucle, either. These Swannies are underated....anyone watching the tackling and shepherding should know Syd aren't going to simply wilt. That Richo v Maxi clash was a classic example.

plus....and this is my hope...HAVING A BIG HOME TOWN CROWD should tip it our way in a close one.

I'm tentatively tipping the Swans by around 3 goals. But I'm not certain.

That big lumbering dinosaur Allessio only plays 1 good game per season and that is usually against us.

Darren Bewick (little @@@@) used to cause us headaches as well

We haven't beaten them (I think) since 97 at the S.C.G on a wet track. From memory Mark Bayes kicked the winning goal.

We are due to knock them off.
