Sydney has to win, because I would personally like to see Norris Lurker cry. It's high time this winning streak came to an end.

I saw Fletcher at training (I'm an ess supporter btw) and he looks like he wont be back till chrismas time.

What a negative group you are!
Maybe I dreamt you beating the lions.

We will do Essendon on Saturday night. Following the
release of the fincancial plight of the club etc our boys
will come out firing and you can bet that the real swans
supporters at the game will be SEEN and Heard.

What a great opportunity to show support for our coach
          and team.

BE THERE, SHOW AND WEAR THE RED AND WHITE AND
          BE HEARD.

Come on buddy im just trying to be realistic here.
Essendon have much better players right across the board and im just afraid we cant match them in class.

And what was your realistic opinion before Collingwood, Brisbane and Richmond?

Sorry, can't follow your logic here.

Brisbane are undoubtedly better across the board - yet we beat them! Micky O and Barry Hall have been either down on goalkicking or injured the last few weeks. Given our wide range of goalkicking options and new-found ability to withstand pressure (touch wood), I don't see why we can't beat Essendon if we play like we have been the majority of the past few weeks.

There are no "easy games" anymore, at least not for a side like ours lacking consistency, but we can beat anyone when we're on song.

Us by 3 goals is my tentative tip (on assumption the lads fire up for the game)

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

True some people on this board are perpetual sadshacks. But be assured we will we sent dons back on their long trip home

I'm quietly optimnistic that the boys will perform well.
But, it matters little whether we beat the dastardly bombers, as we all know this is a rebuilding year, with the "experts" tipping us for the wooden spoon. So even to come close to those red and black so and sos would be an absolute ACHIEVEMENT, especially for a team that won't even be around next year. We might as well not even play out the rest of the season and let the other 15 clubs put dibs on the players they want right now.

Seriously though I am a little concerned that the rubbish in the press these past couple of days might be a distraction for them. Otherwise, Swannies by 18-20 points.
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

                            This is good and bad.

Good that Roos won't rush anyone back into the team. Hopefully ensuring the injuries won't flair up.

Bad that we will miss the "Magic" for the Indigineous game.

I wanna know what the hell is wrong with the two of them.
Injuries that weren't suppose to last long, have.
Still I should probably expect this from the Swans
