tribunal has set precedent, intent unimportant, all to do with recklessness. Many cases highlight this. The most famous recent one that argued this was Cloke in the finals last year.

Yup - afraid LRT has been cited on video evidence.

That sucks. I posted a little while ago that I was so impressed that the young guys weren't afraid of the physical side of playing in the top league. Let's hope that doesn't change.

From the TV replays from front on, it looks like he tried to take out his arms. I couldn't see any straight on hit to the ribs. When it happened I thought maybe Skipper even contacted himself along with LRT, when he made contact with his arms. To me it didn't look late at all because the Bulldog player still had his arms up.

We all see these things a little differently but I can hardly see how it was reckless. It all looked faily inoxuous to me.

Can't see the logic in leaving the hearing to next week. Maybe the tribunal is on holidays from tonight.

It's good for him, if he gets charged, its a big lesson that wont be forgotten.

Well I hate to tell you all I told you so, but....

As I mentioned earlier it was reckless, messy and the kid will learn a valuable lesson out of it, he will go for 1 week imo, as it is his first apperance and it is pretty obvious he didnt mean ,he was just, well to put it, exicted and hyped up really.

Riolli just scored 3 weeks for a very blatant elbow way off the ball. Considering that, a suspension for LRT if any ought only be a week max.

i cant believe how soft the tribunal is on rioli, the eye gouge was worth 7 weeks last year, alone IMO... this incident shouldve been 5 at least!!!

you'd hope so...though I think Rioli's suspension was skewed by the fact this was his third report this year.

He'll definitely go. In this day and age...

I don't agree with players gettig reported simply because the injured party bleeds a bit on tv, or has a shocking bit of luck like Skipper on the weekend. But really...if that was LRT with the punctured lung, many of us would be screaming blue murder!!!

Don't forget that Stafford got NOTHING for breaking everitt's cheekbone....but then he does play for Richmond.

The whole tribunal system needs to be drastically change. I was shocked when Stafford didn't even get a fine. Lets just hope that LRT does not get suspended.
