Whats heath going to do ? By your theory he should go around at half pace ? How is he goin to get good form if he doesnt play 100% ? If he was selected to play he must be 100% ! - in fact probably more!, so why the big deal of him going flat out ? Whats he going to do whe he gets used to a slower game then plays a faster one ? Hows that going to help him ? Etc EtcNo.1 ticket holder of Nick Davis Fan Club...Comment

The point that needs to made about one like Heath James coming back after sucha long lay off, is that he has no match practice at all under his belt.
No matter how much ball handling he has had on the training track, when you get to the real stuff the footy feels like a bit of wood. You have real trouble knowing where to run, changing direction, your balance isn't right because you can't judge the pace of the game, drop marks, lose the run of the ball, go one way then the other then fall over, and you even have trouble judging the length of another players kick. You feel like you are never going to regain touch. So no matter how fit you may feel you feel almost useless first time out. Usually as you get further into a game you start to get the old feel back.
That is why so many players are just happy to get through a game without injury. So if your first game back is at a slower pace it eases you back into the action. Because in a match you are doing things in real time as against training, the risk of injury first time back is so much greater. And that happened to him last time when after a couple in the twos he went to hamstring dome, hotter pace to the game and did his hammie.
Ever time you go to the next level it all gets very hard indeed.
Interesting to note that Mathew Primus had his first game back for Norwood Seconds, and both Brown and Keating played reserves in the Brisbane League rather than going straight into the ones.Comment

Note that Doyle is not much closerYou don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby ZieglerComment
