Hardly made any contact but I'm still nervous about what could happen.

Very soft report, but it was VERY stupid by BBBH to even give an ump a chance to report him. With his record, he probably won't get off.

      I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Agree totally. Very daft thing to do from Hall. His prior record shouldn't (I did say shouldn't!) have an impact on whether he is found guilty but if he is if will definitely have an effect on the sentence.

Just looking at afl.com.au, the report is apparently for "unduly rough play"...so who knows what's going on?!?!!

His perceived record is the important thing here. It IS soft, but the contact IS there. Could be lucky and get off, but I reckon just as likely to cop 2-3 weeks for being Barry Hall.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

from what i saw, it should be only one week, any more than that and the tribunal have no common sense

Barry's record will go against him but The Tribunal hopefully will consider the fact that BBBB was thrown into the fence prior to his response.

It was more a push with his forehead than a thrusting blow. Stupid thing to do though.

Why wasn't the Carlton player reported for pushing him into the fence?

Fletcher and Stupido both got off.

Barry will probably cop a suspension.

I expect either a let off or a decent lay off (3-4 wks), remembering that the Primus incident was only a tickle of the face
                      - Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

If anyone could explain how Fletcher got off, you have all the necessary qualifications for a job at the tribunal. If Barry does get suspended, it will hurt us coming up against Top 8 rivals Freo and Adelaide.

I may be a tad out of line here but I suspect Barry having a holiday might be a blessing in disguise.

Let's face it he can't take a mark unless he's completely in the clear, everytime LRT comes on what does he do................ take one or two strong contested marks, like a genuine half forward is supposed to. Yep, he's not as sure with his disposal as Bazza but that will come, but it will be LRT's chance to stamp his presence on a game or two.

Bazza's assets are his disposal and ground work, IMO this can be reasonably well covered by others.
