Unfortunately I don't think we have the side at this stage to win the flag. I think we are missing a couple of key big guys. Sure we look great when we are running hard down the ground, but that can't always happen. Opposition increase pressure and shut you down, and players get tired. This is all magnified in finals. As Jazz coach Frank Layden said, give me tall guys over short fast guys, as the short guys get tired and slow down, but the tall guys never get any shorter!
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

We COULD win it...however I don't expect we will be there in the last weekend in September...Don't get me wrong---few things would please me more if we were. Ball's injury and the lack of a true big/strong defender at FB/CHB may come to haunt us...someone capable of stopping Tredrae...Tarrant...Rocca...et al.
If we recruit well (fill the holes in ruck and defence) and Cressa plays on for a year or two, next year we may get close....but 05 is the year we shd be aiming at... We have a lot of young kids in the team at present...they need to mature and develop. This lot (Schneider...Sunny...LRT...etc) will then have 50 or so games under their belt...we will have brought on the other youngsters..(McVeighs etc) in the meantime, and Magic, Nick D, and BBBH etc will still be in their prime...

      Ooops....typo...typo...typo....even I'll be dead by 95...

"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

I hope its not 95, all them players will be well over a hundred by then and maybe just be a tad too slow, and also I doubt very much if I will be around to see it.
