    Round 19

Some absolutely massive games this round:

    *Pies vs Lions at G
    *Eagles vs Crows at Subiaco
    *Swans vs Hawks at SCG
    *North vs Freo at MCG

Never quite seen a season like it.

    go lions!
    go eagles!
    go swans!
go north! - knock bombers out of 8
    go doggies (against bombers)
go blues (against port - wishful thinking i know but port have a large injury list and that wont be helped with primus going down as well)
go saints (against richmond - clog it up further!)
then the melbourne and geelong game doesnt matter...

we move back to second with those results and one game again off top spot as well as being half a game clear

    port - 60 (56 - i wish)
    sydney - 52
    west coast - 50
    brisbane - 50
    adelaide - 48
    collingwood - 48
    freo - 48
    north - 42
    C'mon Chels!

Just looking at the remaining games, I think the most crucial game for the rest of the season is Brisbane v Collingwood. It is the absolute definition of an 8-point game. As I see it, whoever wins this game will probably end up 2nd on the ladder, 1 place above the swans, who I think will probably finish 3rd

        Ain't that the truth!

Just about every game this year seems to have a two-fold effect!

        GO LIONS AND EAGLES!!!
        We hate Anthony Rocca
        We hate Shannon Grant too
        We hate scumbag Gaspar
        But Leo WE LOVE YOU!

And don't forget the St Kilda v Richmond game, which is Channel 10's Saturday night Match of the Round
The Victorian parochialism down here is mind-boggling sometimes.

Well, actually, a draw there would be good as that would put both of them out of contention for priority picks!

IMO, not necessarily, as i think we should put a trade bait package together for a top pick...

?? Unless one of our better players wants to move, the only players we have capable of attracting a top 5 draft pick are ones that I definitely want to keep. In fact, beyond Goodes, I'm not sure who another team would give up a top pick for. Remember we got Davis for pick 21 (or was it 22) last year.

It seems a bit daft because getting a mature body (even if they're only 22 or 23) ready to play straight away who is a proven AFL level player ought to worth more than a kid who still has big question marks over him. But nowadays people seem to think of the Chris Judds and Nick Riewoldts far more than they do the Mark Kinnears, Murray Vances - or even Travis Johnstones.
