Coaches always learn from games, even the most experienced ones. At times, there were some good players on the bench at the same time but they were rested. Schneider's fitness isnt too good so his short bursts actually take a lot out of him. If a player needs to be rested, they have to be rested.

I reckon its all part of the swans new training management scheme, which also explains the our good injury run. The injury to Ball however, couldnt be helped.
Using hypothesis testing via confidence intervals:
Nick Davis mark inside 50 = goal

Let's face it, Roos is probably the first democratically elected coach of the swans.

      The players wanted him

      The fans/members wanted him

      The Sponsors wanted him.

He has done a brilliant job.

Personally I reckon he can walk on water and also the sun shines
      out of his ar*e.

My wife adores him and I'd even let him have her for the night
(so long as I could have Tammy !!!)

Previously, yes due to not being switched on. On this occasion, it was a very useful toss to win. The strong breeze was always going to benefit the team that won the toss, and when Riccuito pointed to right of screen after the coin dropped, I knew that we'd be up against it from the word go.

Bolton to replace Mathews as the 'sweeper' accross half-back, as he does a lot better job of it than Mathews and is more damaging.
What I'd like to see this week:

          IN: James, Sunny
          OUT: Stevens, Mathews
          Bloods

In regard to Schneider being on the bench, I feel Roos did the right thing due to the fact that Schneider is a very dynamic player who needs to play in short bursts in the foward line/mid field. His style of play requires periods of rest to prevent injuries, especially in the lead up to finals/other big games.

It was the swans first quarter that put them away, not the last - regardless of who was on the field or who wasnt.

Nah - it was the second. The Swans held the Crows pretty well until about the last 5 minutes of the first qtr. The gap at qtr time was 21 pts, which is what the guys at the ground thought the wind was roughly worth. Our 2nd qtr was poor, letting them kick 2 further goals away, kicking 5 goals for the qtr, and making no inroads into the lead.

Our 3rd qtr was great, although we probably could have done more with it. Our last qtr would have been great if we had started it better, but we let Adelaide get the first goal. We did the same thing against Freo also, but they were a little bit easier to haul back.

I'm still puzzled, why the players didn't take advantage of kicking with the breeze. I wonder what was goning on their heads during that period. Obviously, Roosy must have rectified that at the half time break. Go and figure that out!

I agree with NMW our 2nd quarter when we had the use of the wind was disappointing. They came out and kicked a couple of quick goals on us and that was that.

Credit to them though for holding their heads high and not giving in.
