Should the Swans wear the South jumper regularly?

Well? Should the South jumper be only worn as a once-off, or should it be say an annual tribute to our roots as South Melbourne?

Nah Charlie, leave it as is.

I think its a good idea, however I would say that we use it only for games in Melbourne and keep our normal jumper for all other matches
      Once was, now elsewhere

It depends what you define as "regular". I don't mind it on ocassion. It'd be a nice reminder of the SM roots, and I dont' think it's that bad a design!! 1-3 times a year, hell why not?

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Maybe they could wear them when they play here in Melbourne?

Would not mind the South jumper once a year but please not regular. I actually like the current design with opera house on the red V. Wouldn't mind seeing SMFC on the back of the jumper regularly.

By regular I mean 1-3 times a year, as Des said.

I would not like them to wear the South jumper for every Melbourne game though.

Eventually the AFL will formalise home and away jumpers ,with home being dark and away being light .I see the South's jumper as the ideal "away" jumper .
                    give it to the game

I agree - make it our away strip.

And it would go well with the white shorts and hooped socks! Maybe not every away game but certainly those where our red might clash a bit and in Melbourne

In the past it could have clashed with the maggots but with them now going colourful that problem has been resolved.

It would be a fantastic away strip. Like beaussie, I would like to see the SMFC on the back of the jumper.

I like this idea, but only for games against Melbourne clubs played in Melbourne (including games at the ground that was once known as Kardinia Park).

I agree with the suggestions about SMFC on the back of the jumpers. I would also like to see a radically different "away" jumper which is mostly red.
