I am banned from watching any swans games at my mothers place.

I paid her a visit last year when the Swans played the Saints in THAT GAME and my mother has barred me from ever watching footy at her house.

She says i go over the top. I say i am too passionate.

Yeah but its ironic b/c my mother used to scream her lungs out when I used to play Soccer as a kid. Didnt help that she was the team manager for 5 years.

C'mon guys, we have played some pretty good footy in the last few weeks up until Saturday night's game. I am sure we are allowed to have a couple of bad games - better now than in the finals hey? Maybe that was just a wake up call for the boys. I'm not saying that yeah we will definitely win the GF, but we have still come a long way this season and can go further if we remain positive. Not even the ultimate champion teams go through a whole season without playing a couple of bad games - the winners of the grand final are those teams who either are just too good in the year or who peak come finals time. Remember the Adelaide Crows a few years back...there was no way they were the best team throughout the season and if my memory serves me correct, they had quite a few shockers during the season. C'mon people, stay positive!

I chucked a huge wobbly after we lost against the Eagles last season. My ex said the same thing. To me that is not only

I stormed out, never to return.

And you wonder why I prefer to always watch the matches live. At least I can have fun singing silly songs when we are losing interstate. Er, and better pizza too.

And less chance of a glass flying at the TV set. (I don't enjoy watching us play on the box most of the time.)

Roos is right when he says that we need every player on the ground to have a good game in order to win. The boys looked like they had a hangover on the w/e and were just going through the motions - expecting to win the ball and not doing the hard work. The Hawks played well, ran hard and were clearly bouyed by the return of Spider et al. I expect a better game this week but the Lions are going to be very tough to beat (particularly twice in one season).

You wonder whether Schwab was playing duck and drakes with us all. I was of the opinion that Everitt was declared unfit to play.

Then I see him a few metres in front of me, towering over everybody near him (both literally and figeratively.)

                      Hmm.

I think you are spot on Ruda! Some of the swans supporters on here do take our success for granted - especially what we have achieved this year. I am so proud of the boys for even being up there this year and just about to embark on another finals campaign. Who would have thought, way back when in 1993, when we were so crap that we barely won a game (we had the wood over the Dees for some reason) that we would all be sitting here today whingeing about the fact that we have lost a couple of games and wrecked our chances of making the top two this season! Geez people, appreciate the great club that we have and cheer on the boys successes and spur them on in the down times! I think everybody who has a bad attitude allows that to filter to the club in some capacity. Maybe everything that is said does not reach the club directly, but it does create bad karma which can not only be bad for our on-field success but also our off-field success which also has a bearing on our on-field success. IT IS A VICIOUS CIRCLE PEOPLE! KEEP THE BAD KARMA TO A MINIMUM!

I know it was me who put a lot of this forward, but I am starting to come around to your POV . I am just sick of Swans teams who over acheive while expectations are low, and who then underacheive after all their hard work has earned them expectations.

I am with you totally. (Although I do concede to a hissy fit on saturday night , but more through total disappointment). I posted a little while ago on another thread about positive vibes and I think we should all be focused. Cheer for more than a couple of hours on game day. Send the message into the ether. "I am celebrating the Swans winning the 2003 grand final." Don't use "I want" or you'll always be wanting. Be present tense. Use emotion. Visualise. Go Swans. I said 2 (or was it 3) years ago about JB FSC ... and now look what they're saying. Confidence and belief. He didn't believe it when I spoke to him then, I reckon he is believing it now, he knows he can make a difference to this club and he is. We can do the same. And, if you don't believe, try it, who cares - it can't hurt and it might make a difference. End of twilight zone lecture .
