    The Path ahead

I'm revising my prefered finish position, as the AFL has changed the MCG banking rule, which we hope to exploit.

We are all set for a 4th place finish by round 22. That beating the pies at home and the D's, and heopfully getting Doyle a senior game or two in there.
4th is critical, as it guarantees a home final in week two, or a rest, when finals are still decided by the higher team. Having no melbourne teams above us is also criticial do we dont play them in a prelim at the MCG, and that basically comes down to Collingwood, which we should beat next week.

The finals will then pan out like this.
Week 1: Play Port at Adelaide and probably loose.
Week 2: Play a perth or melbourne team in Sydney. Win.
Week 3: If results go as expected, we will be in the lesser preliminary.. at the MCG.... against Adelaide or Brisbane. MCG would offer us significant home ground advantage I think. Tight, but win possible.
Week 4: Grand final again at the MCG against an interstate side, hopefully Port who will choke.

I'm sure you will agree, not a bad run at a flag. One home win, and two (sort-of home) wins required.

I find your prediction both disturbing and exciting. I don't dare peek but I can't bear to look away!

the only thing I would love to change is the week 1 scenario. I have a family wedding to attend in Coffs Harbour in week 2 of the finals and wont be able to make a week 2 final in Sydney.

I do not know why of all months and years they had to pick these two to get married. I'm thinking of ways to get around it and be able to be back in Sydney, but I don't think it will happen without celebrating a divorce (mine, as it's my husbands family) on the same weekend.

          That sucks B-B.

In my house all engagements are worked around the fixture.

No correspondence will be entered into.

              Spare me a thought

Two of my mates are getting married in September. The one in the first week (he didn't think the swans would make it back in march) and the other in the 3rd week at Coffs Harbour. For a second there I thought I was going to the same wedding as Bam Bam. You're not going to the racecourse are you Bam Bam?
