Wow! Just WoW! What an amazing effort! Honestly, that was just phenomenal...they hung in there all day, and even though they looked a bit lethargic they just continued to try and try...excellent team effort...

And didn't the leaders of the team stand up when things looked bad? When Leo and Saddo were off the field and the pressure was on, Williams and Cresswell and Maxfield just stood up and played football..

I'm terrifically impressed with the young players who don't seem to lose confidence when they make a mistake...eg Lewis Roberts Thompson kicking into the man, yet he continued to run and did many good things in defence afterwards..

Barry Hall is a revealation at CHB..Magic is Magic and I thought Mickeljohn (sp?) had a good game too..

Craig Bolton has been great all year, where ever he has played and he strikes me as being a Cresswell type player...unspectacular but solid..

I could go on forever..but if we do nothing else this year, we just have to be proud of how this team has performed..!

Did you see how he slapped C Boltons back after being out marked. Sore loser and arrogant dick comes to my mind.

Loved how Dermie gave it to him when he tried a cute over head handball after taking a mark.

I thought Shaubs was superb in the last qrt. OKeefe was good as well. Shnider is developing into a very smart and hungry footballer. I cant wait for the future with this kid.

Jude Bolton keeps throwing egg on my face from earlier comments and C Bolton was awesome on Brown.

Schabs was BOG in my opinion - I thought Lynch would kick 3-4 goals before the game.

C.Bolton is just a champ - he simply knows how to play the game, you can see it the way he positions himself.

BBBBH was fantastic - by gee we COULD go all the way if we get a few home finals.

          .....regretting I said that....

All of the above, and more. WOW, WOW, WOW.

Tremendous performances from so many players. Loved how Schneider wasn't overawed by Aker late in the game when he stole the ball from a contest.

Great to see James come through unscathed. Did anyone see his face straight after they sang the song? That was one happy lad.

On top of the players already praised in this thread, I thought Davis and Bolton were particularly good early on when we looked like getting blown away. Davis as a midfielder is a revelation. And I thought last week's "target", Fossie, played a very solid four quarter game as well.

The song was sung with so much gusto today.

Heath James did a few good things and given more match time will be a cog in our side. You are right about Nick Davis. He is starting to shine in the midfeidl and has the smarts to be a classy on baller.

To be really honest I gave us no hope - early I thought we would get blown away - toour credit we stuck at them.

I notice the match report mentions nothing of the injuries to Saddo (who was all smiles after the game) and Barry, hopefully they can come up.

                  Big and surprising win.

This is turning into a rollercoaster.

                    Huge massive win.
Second spot is NOT a fantasy now. We can do this thing.

Absolute gutsy win. Have officially forgotten about last weeks aberration. Just put it down to the adoption of the South Melbourne game plan

Great to see Heath get through one game, and how bloody wrapped was he singing the song at the end.

Beating last years premiers twice in the same season. Says one thing. Roosy can bloody coach, and the list has a lot of talent if coached correctly. Oops thats two things!!!

                    Go you good things:)))

I was watching the match at the beginning and had flashbacks of that Pies/Lions first quarter last week and thought uh oh and then the rain started which made me go uh oh even more.

I swear Brisbane was doing the 4 seasons in one day today.

                        Great effort by the boys.

What about the massive bump Schneider got on his head in the first quarter - when I saw it I thought will he be back? then when he came onto the field and tormented Aker in that last quarter - bloody brilliant.

Special mentions to Heath James (for coming through the game unscathed), Andrew Schauble (on Lynch - had absolutely no impact in the game whatsoever) and Craig Bolton - best game he's played with the Swans thus far and why he didn't start on Jonathan Brown in the first place I'll never know.

Nice call on Nick Lizz. I had a dream last night (hotel beds always play with my head [sadly]. My dream was of Nick Davis running hard through heavy traffic. He had miraculous speed, he was uncatchable. I am pretty sure I saw that once today!

Nick has been so important in the midfield for us that I don't care if he doesn't kick another goal this year. His midfield work including courage when needed has been magic.

This was one of those days that Roosy yells we have to have to win games, a COMPLETE team performance that becomes unbeatable.

I loved Willo's game and the 80 metre goal goes in the record book regardless of circumstances.

You could not chisel the smile off my face (though many would like to try...which reminds me...coming dear!).

Well we got over the line, nearly gave me a heart attack when Power's shot hit the back of the post.

Hall had today one of his best halves of football with us, if he wasn't playing we wouldn't of won. Schauble did well to keep Lynch quiet and more importantly goalless.

Saddo today proved once and for all that he isn't a CHB, nor a K/P defender for that matter. He is better for us roaming the defenive 50. Craig Bolton proved to alot of Lions people that they made a mistake in letting him go and he towelled up Jon Brown who is so much taller and stronger.

Leo Barry got back to his best today after a few off weeks, he and Kenelly gave us a fair bit of run off half back which was missing in the last 2 weeks.

Heath James, clearly was lacking AFL level game time and it showed offen with him mistiming a few things, but overall an impressive comeback and no injuires which is more important. He should get better and will become a very good player for us hopefully.

LRT was great in his little gametime and showed that he is better not playing ruck. MJ is the real deal, improved as the match went on and he should get better with time as well.

Goodes and Magic were on fire today, they just did what they had to do and then some. Magic's goal in the third term on the run was arsey at best and very very brave to attempt.

The midfield was at its quiet best today, no one really stood out but they did their jobs.

Fosdike and Mathews did very well and proved the doubters on this board wrong. The are important players in the team and to drop them would be unfair.

My best was Craig Bolton, followed by Hall and Goodes
                                Once was, now elsewhere
