Try again, or better still why don't you say it to his face.

Right-o, that just about crosses the line from "polite guest" to "poor attempt at trolling". I hope you enjoyed your brief stay.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

I infer through your oh so eloquent prose that you may be referring to the Swannettes.

Thankfully that aspect of football is a remnant of the 80s that will REMAIN in the time vault (Des, you like that video I leaant from 1986).

Not only are "cheer leaders" in my view disrespectful to women, they do little to actually cheer their team on. Tasteless, tizzy, tacky, and cheap are words that can describe my thoughts on them.

Save them for Gridiron and basketball where the fans need that extra bit of artificial razzle-dazzle to make up for the fact that there is no atmosphere at matches (the Sydney Kings aside, of course!)

PS:- If Trollingwood had cheer girls, would they be called the "Maggettes"?

Actually pretty much the opposite has occured this year Jixygirl. The Country Road set started arrived at matches from the day of the Eagles match, where over 5000 bought tickets by simply rocking up (late) on the day. The next few Sunday 1.10pm matches were played in ideal conditions. And the crowds were noticeably bigger.

It's good for the club's coffer, but for atmosphere, FORGET IT!
