    No way Fixter will go.

    Warfe & McPherson are gaaaaaawwwwwwwwwn

Cressa should retire with dignity, as should Snapper

The problem with Nicks - is who would take him and what would we get for him ? He will be 29 in 2004

Why ?? What happend to him ??
According to Brett Allison and Stewie Maxfield he has injured is groin, not osteitus pubis, but is having surgery soon to "fix up a whole heap of junk in there"

That's ridiculous - Fixter was one of our (only) 2 exciting young players to emerge last year...with Doyle.

He would have played every game.

Doyle looked very rusty - at least one more game in reserves, I reckon. Both LRT and MJ struggled in the wet - but I don't think that Doyle was obviously better than either of them. I think last week is the last H&A game for the reserves - not sure whether Doyle will be eligible for their finals if he's only played the two games.

Powell did look good, but BAM-BAM is wrong, his build is nothing like Saddo - he must be half as thin again.

I agree that McGlone and Ablett played well - its the first time I've seen Ablett play for a month or so and he looked a heap better.

I thought Thewlis was injured - whoever was playing in his number (#39 IIRC) looked useful.

The rule on AFL listed players playing in the VFL during finals is that if their senior team (ie the AFL team) is still involved in the competition, any player is eligible to play reserves (ie VFL). It's only when the senior team is knocked out that the games played restrictions come into play.

You would think the Swans would have negotiated a similar arrangement with the Canberra league.

you're right Undy. Powell is that. I hadn't heard of an injury problem with him. I saw him favour his ankle a few matches back, but it hasn't appeared to hamper him since. Does anyone know?

Ablett looked hungry to get his hands onto anything he could. It was good to see.

Josh is injured and out. He plays in 38 however, there was someone running around in that number too.

I was wondering who 34 was, he was involving himself in the game and played well. Nick looks like a fine young player.

Ben Fixter had surgery on his groin last week apparently.

I'm pretty sure he's having surgery on his groin in the off season. Also he plays each week after having injections in his feet! OUCH!

                                Fixter's Future

Why is there a feeling against Fixter? Unless he has a chronic injury! He would certainly have been in our best 22 early this year, following last years form. OK we have many smalls but he looked a class act. I thought the club had extremely high hopes for him?
