I'm lucky enough to have access to a number of differently located Internet proxy's through a corportate network.
Almost all Aust. based proxy's are having this problem but as soon as I switch to an overseas (non-USA though) proxy everything's fine.Comment

Dear Mr Potter,
Thank you for your email dated 25/8/03, regarding the difficulties you are having viewing
websites.
We have escalated this issue and are in contact with AVS, at this point all queries are to
be directed to Nigel Burke of AVS.
It appears the issue may be AVS's problem, the email Mr Burke sent to all his customers has
been discussed and he has agreed to be the on going contact point.Comment

There was only one time that I had problems and that was on Tuesday morning. I couldn't get on about 3 times and when I was on, it took forever to read a post, let alone post yourself. I don't know the connection but I believe it's some Telstra cable.Sydney Swans Premiers 2005 - The Mighty BloodsComment

continuing saga
from whirlpool.net.au
Hi Everyone,
Telstra is having major issues accessing AVS Networks plus many other sites such as excite.com and linuxtoday.com. I don't understand why Bigpond keeps putting the problem back to us. Majority of Bigpond customers have been having these immenient problems since last Friday. It's killing our business here and affecting so many websites. The total number of web sites affected is about 400,000 sites.
Any AVS customers having problems accessing their web site can call Bigpond on 133 933 and you can talk to Jim Thompson. If they say there is no Jim Thompson, tell them to check again because he is there. You can also call Nigel direct on 02 4227 3177 if you would like to talk to a representative from AVS Networks.
We would also like to thank our customers for being patient through this issue but we are pushing Bigpond as much as we can but they are just not moving fast enough at the moment.
Regards,
Nigel Burke

Des, I might have another problem to report and was wondering if it was related to the same issue.
Whenever I click any link on your Affiliates page nothing happend. I'm not taken to any of those web sites listed there. Would it be the same problem as mentioned in the previous posts above?Comment

sxp, that's probably a different story.. To be honest we haven't reviewed any of those links since the start of 2002, so half of them are probably dead!!
