    those great goals

during the gloom on Saturday night MOL, Schneider and Davis all kicked great goals I thought. But all my Pie mates said that Davis's was just sheer arse yet at the same time think that Rocca's wasn't. Were they flukes, freakish or meant?

schneiders goal was pure class - which he has shown all season, davis misses some here and there but it was definantly no fluke.

Both Schneider's and Davis' goals were not flukes.

People who know nicks game would know that goal was no fluke.

To be fair, I don't think Rocca's was a fluke either. From the reverse angle you could see he was able to spot a small amount of space through the sticks and intended to do exactly what he did. I've barely ever kicked a Sherrin in my life but instinct tells me that kind of goal is much easier - or at least, much more likely to come off as intended - in heavy, wet conditions because it is less likely to take a random bounce off the ground, or to spin unexpectedly.

Still reckon Schneider's was a better goal though - not a fluke but certainly freakish that someone can do that with such apparent ease.

Rocca deliberately went for goal, obviously, tried to roll it into the goal like that, but it seemed as tho it was gna miss by a bit and go across the face but it managed to skid thru the middle, definite fluke, just like Nick Davis's which came back way too far to be really intended surely

Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

As far as the intent goes, all of them were obviously "intending" on scoring the goal. Why else would they kick the ball there? In that regard, then no goal ever scored is really a fluke.

However, you could say Roccas was a fluke coz of the extremely tight angle he shot from, and relied on the bounce of the ball.

Although it is highly unlikely that many people would be able to score the goal that Schneider did, I couldnt call that a fluke, coz he has now scored similar goals on a number of occasions this year.

Speaking of the goal from Schneider that was the official goal of the week for that round beating off the efforts of Rocca and Carey

Scheider's was pure class and he has shown a talent for this. There was an element of luck to Rocca's but it was still a great kick. Davis's was probably a fluke and he is lucky in that he kicks a hell of a lot of flukes. Generally is a poor kick though.

You're kidding aren't you? Nick would have to be one of the most ACCURATE kicks around, not only for goals but also when he's kicking to someone. Sure he's had some misses but everybody does, no-one has 100% kicking accuracy!

That goal of his wasn't a fluke either as I spoke to him about it and he said he intended to do that. It was more lucky that it went through!

                            what the???

He did a segment on Swanning around earlier in the year on goal kicking. He was from just on 50m near the players race at the SCG, he went back took 3 steps and split the posts, with no warm up on his first kick.

they call Schneider a freak, but I think that title is more apt for Davis.
