      c) Bulldogs to beat Brisbane
      d) Fremantle to beat West Coast
      e) Port Adelaide to beat Adelaide

I've ruled out Brisbane losing as an option. I also give Sydney next to no chance of overtaking Collingwood on percentage.

Again that requires at least four of the above things to happen. And I can't see either b) or c) happening.
They are both unlikely but they ARE possible. The total margin needed for (a) and (b) is about 23 goals split between the two games with the (b) margin being no smaller than the (a) margin. The bigger the (b) the smaller the (a) needs to be. Wins by 11-12 goals are not unusual. The least likely is for the Doggies to win (c). Freo has a good chance of beating WC - I would put that game about 50-50.

The implication of this is that if we get ahead comfortably this week it is NOT time to ease up. We should show no mercy whatsoever just in case the Bombers do the same to the Pies.

P.S. Just realised Bombers play before us so we will know what margin is needed, or if the margin matters at all. Ignoring the Collingwood aspect, if the Bombers win then we need to match their margin to keep ahead of them on %.

        Prices for Telstra Stadium:

        Adult / Concession / Junior / Family

        Standard: $35 / $21 / $9 / $74.40
        Prime: $45 / $29 / $11 / $94.40
        Premium: $55 / $35 / $13 / no family apparently

I have no idea what the family ticket covers, presumably 2 adults + 2 kids?

Just gotta check Bron, you didn't leave off a "'t" on the can there??? I like the fact you can buy tix ahead of time for friends etc. Take them to sit with the fans, show em how to make some noise, turn it into a really good atmosphere.

This is a new deal his year, presumably because the games will be at SA with all those extra seats. Mind you, in previous years the membership card checking was very slack.

What might be difficult is not getting a seat ticket (from any ticketek agent) but getting the parking ticket (which you can only get by mail or from the city and there may not be time to get it by mail)

It says that you can buy additional tickets for home finals, but not for away finals. It also says that you need to present your membership card to collect tickets.

Am happy to pick up a few extra parking tix if needed, provided you can make the arrangement to pick it up somehow. Will be at Ticketek in the city first thing Monday morning if we're playing at home next weekend!

just another question, if we are playing a final in Sydney on the first weekend, I assume it will be on the Sat night

Won't be able to make it to the first final if it's in syd nor if it's in Melbourne on the Sunday unless I call in sick at the jnr footy GF, (shhh don't tell scurrilous)

StadeOz members have already booked their finals tickets

This might be of interest (From the StadeOz "E-news"). Notice the reference to "kick-off". I also notice no plans for a second final (which was still quite possible at the time this notice was issued).

NOTE CAREFULLY: this refers to StadeOz members NOT Swans members.....

                      Sydney Swans Home Final TOP
If the Sydney Swans finish the season well, it is possible that they will qualify for a home final at Telstra Stadium on any day of the first three weekends in September. On the basis that such an event will attract a near capacity crowd, this event will be a ticketed event for Members and you will need to request a ticket.

AFL Finals series matches may be scheduled with less than one week's notice. To accommodate this uncertainty Members will be able to request a 'Finals Ticket' that will be valid for whatever day a potential final may be played. If you wish to purchase an additional Paying Guest Ticket/s, that ticket/s will also be valid for whatever day a potential final may be played. Should the Swans not qualify for a home final at Telstra Stadium, all Paying Guest Tickets will be refunded without penalty.

Although Members will be allocated a reserved seat, due to the short timeframe available to allocate tickets, the Club's regular rotational seating policy for Reserved Events will not apply. Members' tickets for this event will instead be allocated randomly.

The Booking Close Date for Swans Final Tickets closes 5pm Friday, August 22 and Tickets will be mailed the following week.

The AFL finals system is quite complex and there are a number of scenarios that could see the Swans qualify for a home final which might be played at Telstra Stadium. This could potentially be on any of three weekends depending upon the Swans position at the end of the regular season, the outcome of matches during the finals and the scheduling of matches by the AFL.

                      Potential Event Dates:
Weekend 5/6/7 Sep or Weekend 12/13/14 Sep or Weekend 19/20/21 Sep
                      Gates Open: TBC
                      Preliminary Game: TBC
                      Main Game Kick-off: TBC
Booking Close Date: 5pm, Friday 22 August 2003
Swans Home Final Paying Guest Price: $55.00

                      CONTACT THE CLUB NOW TO:
BOOK your Swans Home Final Ticket
                      REQUEST your Paying Guest Tickets
CALL 1300 136 006 (Option 1) or email [email protected]

Pre-booked parking will be made available when (and if) an event is confirmed and will be available directly from Ticketek on 02 9266 4800. Fine Dining will also be available. Members will NOT be required to pre-register dining for this event and will be able to book Fine Dining directly through the Club when (and if) an event is confirmed.

Meanwhile if we have a home final, the Cheer Squad will apparently have an allocation of 400 tickets.

I'll say this until I'm hoarse. If you are in the Cheer Squad you'll get into every final without a problem. INCLUDING THE GRAND FINAL, that we are of course going to make...yadda yadda.

I 'll leave that to Aunty Cath to comment on. All I know is that we'll have 400 odd seats for any Sydney-based final. (Have probably said too much already-over to you Deano!)

JF, don't worry I'll take up a seat for any final in Sydney. I have said before I have got myself into a good financial position so I can go to all finals, except for Perth (too far for me and too costly).

I'm under the impression the the Melbourne based CS didn't even come close to selling out this year, so all members are going to end up with tickets.

On what day a home final will be played. Well it really does depend on what the draw is for week 1. If Collingwood get a home final, it will be at 2pm Saturday. Port Adelaide will get a Sunday game, as the AFL won't allow them to take Friday Night as it would mean a 5 day brake. We should get Saturday Night, but if Brisbane also get a home final, we could end up playing on the Friday Night.

I wouldn't count out a Friday Night at home
                                Once was, now elsewhere
