This was on the before they updated the results:

What we know so far AFL site:

    1. Collingwood will play Brisbane in one qualifying final, to be held at the MCG.

    2. Fremantle will host a home final at Subiaco Oval against either West Coast or Essendon, given that the percentage difference between the Eagles and Adelaide is too great.

    3. Port Adelaide will host a qualifying final on Sunday September 7 at AAMI Stadium against either Sydney or Adelaide.

There are very few Qantas FF flights to/from Adelaide that are suitable, I checked a couple of hours ago, and I bet they've gone. Would have to go over on thursday and back on tuesday I think. Anyway there are some $177 fares each way left.

Think from memory there are a few QF FF left coming back on Monday afternoon/evening both via Melb and direct..hopefully tomorrow they will still be there.

As for the fares, unfortunatly don't get paid till Wednesday so will check then what is available.

One way or another I will be there (I hope)

hmmmmm... a 2:30 start will be clashing with channel 9's broadcast or the rugby league.

Be interesting to see the ratings battle - RL will start at 4 as normal, so our sports go head to head on tele for about an hour and a half.

Sydney media will love reporting on this. Hope our ratings are better!.

That's because they think that good TV ratings make the sport more legitimate (as opposed to good crowds at the actual game)

Hence the belief that Sydney is a "League town"; even though a crowd of 20,000 is considered HUGE!
