Collingwoods game will be on Friday night you'd have to think... which is good, because i'll be barracking hard for them. If they were to win, no matter what happens, we get one more home game.

Pickett and Tredrea could rip us apart.

Port's speed will be a huge problem.

Althrough the season people were prepared too write off the Swans every chance they got and look where they are now.. No reason why we can't knock off Port and go straight through to the Prelim Final

If we lose next week then we get play an SF at StadeOZ against either Freo or Essendon with Subiaco hangover. Either one should be beatable so again we get the PF (not at home but just maybe against Brisbane at the G, a neutral venue, if they can beat Collingwood).

So, we want Collingwood to get the same result we do next week!!
Yes our only way of hosting a preliminary final is to beat Port and hope Collingwood beat Brisbane.

There is no reason why we can't upset them next weekend.

Our lack of height up back could be a problem but then again it has all year and we've done pretty well.

We have to turn up to play in the first quarter though

Doyle will be better for the run meaning Goodes can spend more time up forward. Can only help us kick a winning score.

O'Keefe was excellent again yesterday and can help cover the loss of Magic.

Hall, Goodes, O'Keefe, Schneider and Davis will have to be our main hopes for goals.

If the midfields cancel each other out I think our defence will hold up pretty well.

The only thing I would be concerned about is the weather.

If it doesn't rain and is not too windy we are a good chance.

i reckon we have a fair dinkum chance against the power since we have won 3 of the last four away matches. And the one loss was only 4 points at AAMI.

I saw port play in round 20 and they didn't really look like commanding final contenders.

the reason for the optimism is that Mickey had this happen before (goes down like he's out for 3 months) but it turned out to be a ridiculously sharp cramp - which was worked out over the following week - and he played.

                          We shall see, though

As for the question, will we win? I always like to answer these not as a simple tip but as a what are our chances?

I reckon that if we played theis game ten times we would win 3 times - so let's hope we play our (4 quarter) blinder first up.

besides the weather, I'm concerned about Ports mental approach. They have previuosly let the finals dream slip away. If we start well, will they fold again, or will they have enough spine to stand tall and shut up their detractors from the past few years. Or will they come out firing and blow us away to show everyone they are true contenders and not just pretenders.

Whatever their mindset is, I think we will beat them. Just need a good start.

and as long as we do that, I will be happy.

Its a tough first up assignment, but we have been surprising more than many all year. No-one is tipping us to win this one. That fact alone always seems to benefit our Sydney boys. So we will be a real threat. We have only lost when we were outright favourites and expected to win. We perform alot better with the under-dog tag, having nothing to lose.

If the boys can stay relaxed and do what Roosy says. "just enjoy your footy", we can win!
