My wife has just advised (I was in a meeting all morning) that all the Premium seating were gone by 5 past 9 (9:05) We ended up in between pocket and the half forward/ back line. Bay 123. WE (equal to 10 members after 13 tickets) had hoped to get access to the premium seating - however they have either sold out or are being held back...... Not impressed if they have been held back! Some people had camped out. I left for work early and there was about 15 people well entrenched.

Bay 123 is better than half full on the fence..... or out in carpark. Pity that the elevated grandstands have been removed from either end, as we could have had close to 100,000 plus at this game.

Sue said that she was about 20th in the que and that the line was around the corner. Thats only one of the suburbs outlets. I can imagine that its fairly feral there at the moment, if we have bought 20 per member. (Gives scalpers an unfair advantage.....) They line up all night and make a killing

The northern state are doing a lot better than what SA could do for 2 matches....

I think that the hub of AFL is shifting to a better place.

    Go the Swans

I'm ok now. I've had a cuppa and settled down.

Now will be having my lunch at around 3.30pm so when I go to pick them up there wont too many people (I hope)

well....i don't want to freak anyone out....but I just spent 2.5 hours in line...and by the time i hit the front both wings were gone, i don't even think the nose bleed seats were left, and they were only selling tickets right at the back at either end of the ground.

There's a fair few tickets pre-allocated to the travelling teams, so I imagine they'll be another allocation of tickets if they aren't all taken up.

But I think the Stadium Australia ticket holders (10 000 or so) all get unlimited tickets, prob 10 000 go to travelling teams, and with members (25+) all buying multiple tickets (as others mentioned people were buying 20 or 30 tickets at a time- and they were genuine members) this baby will be a total sellout and very very soon.

        Get your tickets today people!

How exciting would it be for Telstra Stadium to be a sell out! Unfortunately I can't go but I'm hoping that my disappointment will be forgotten when Sydney make it to the Grand Final and I can go. robbbieando, was it that hard to book you tickets for the Cheer Squad. I have a bad feeling that it will still be hard for me to possibly get tickets for the Grand (Please Sydney make the last day in September)? It's amazing how quick the tickets are selling.

I'm a few rows back from that. Hopefully not too much of the boundary line will be obscured

              Sharpie,

maybe a little higher you could be ok. Not sure. there's the screen in the opposite corner you can look to, which helps. Usually everyone stands up and leans forward to get a better view.

We got aisle 106. From Manly this morning..My mother lined up at 6am, they took her name and she returned at 9am to buy. She was 8th in line and they only sold to 16 apparently...

As already posted, I have my tix. But someone needs to learn a HUGE lesson from this about members being able to buy tickets for non0members right off the bat. They need to make a limit per membership that you can by (say 4 - so if you want 8 tickets, you need to have at least 2 members passes).

It would not surprise me if members miss out on tickets because other members have been buying up big and that defeats the purpose of a members priority period for purchasing tickets.

                      I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

                        absoultely agree 500% Mike_B.

It's great we can watch with friends, but alittle unfair to have the privelege of being full members taken away.

I know if my seats aren't as good as my usual ones, I'll be making it known to the powers that be

but enough negativity from me. I'll be happily cheering the Swans onto a most excellent victory come PF and GF days, even if I'm hanging from the roof at the time

That's very strange as they were advertising 404 as being an opposition supporters area.

Some things need to be looked at very seriously....

It'd be such a great shame if the ground was sold out before the opposition got a chance to buy any!

Just bought my tickets (10 of 'em) and the lady serving me said they were selling very very quickly. She said she doesnt know if there will be much left for the general public on thursday.
Its going to be a great night!
