Tickets on sale to members tomorrow

the reason queues and phone bookings were large this morning was because robbie williams went on sale at 9am as well.
went to ticketek at 1pm got tickets in bay 121.close to were we normally sit and $60. pretty happy about that
may be we should limit tickets to 1 per membership card. this was always the practice in the pass and was fair and seemed to work well. club members then had first access to tickets

I go back to my initial email, as long as no Swans member misses out on a ticket to the game if they want to go then what is the problem? And there is no evidence I can't walk into a ticketek tomorrow and buy one.

The only issue they may have created is the effect of scalpers on people who may have wanted to go and see what all the fuss is about but will baulk at the price the scalper is asking and thus denying us the chance to convert to the supporter to a member.

But really when you look at it we have 29,000 members and a potential 65,000 seats to sell to the game which will cover everyone of our members who want to go.

The word 'fan' should have been 'member'. If there is ONE member who wants to go who can't, then this is a disaster.

Penga - how many memberships did you have amongst the 20 tickets you brought?

grand final ticketing will be interesting. you will definitely only to be able to purchase 1 ticket per membership card.
this years mcg reduced seating will mean only maybe 30000 seats allocated to competing clubs members.
Then it is not a 50/50 split. They r then allocated to clubs according to size of membership. for example if collingwood have 40k members and we have 20k members , they would get 66.66% of the 30k available members tickets or 20k to our 10k

i know not every one can afford to be a member and some people cant always go to footy because of work and family commitmens etc , but u can all see why now it is important to be a member if u can

Next year I am buying premium membership, as I now have a nice paying job.

This year I couldnt afford it at the start of the year.

i used 30k as an example .
js r u sure only 19000 r allocated for competing clubs.
if we qualify and play collingwood , we would only receive about 6300 tickets . as they have approx 2-1 members .
that is outrageous in a venue that seats 70000.

It is 18,800 for the competing clubs + some other allocations that don't make their way down to club members.

They are divided pro rata between the members of the competing clubs but only after each clubs get 8,000 each first.

So the pro rata only applies to the last 2,800 tickets.

This is to ensure that both clubs get at least 8,000 members each along and was bought in in case a club like Adelaide played North where the ratio was totally screwed and would mean hardly any North members would get a ticket.

That's an absolute joke. This system is a rort. Members and legit fans will miss out because the bandwagon has well and truly been overloaded with theatregoers and the chardonnay/cafe late set.
