      If we do want to trade for someone from one of the WA clubs, i would love to make a move on West Coast's Dean Cox. He's young and would be our first ruck after Bally retires.

      A trade maybe for our 1st or 2nd round pick and Scott Stevens might do the trick...what do you think???

          I'd be happy to have him but I don't think he's worth our first round pick, the 2nd option looks better but I'd prefer to keep either the pick or Stevens.

          It's about time that we screwed the Weagles over in a trade for once.

          Ball = 1st & 3rd round picks
          Watters & Begovich = No 1 pick in the draft

            I would argue Ball was/is value (1 = Chambers 3= Munro all duds).

            Watters and Begovich were worth the gamble who was to know Watters would be so injury prone and Begovich never got given a chance can remeber him being in the best one week and being played in the twos the next.

              I'll give you Watters/Begovich, but the fact that the Eagles picked duds with their picks is irrelevant.

              I don't doubt that Ball has been good for us, but we picked him up as an injury prone 27 y.o (?) and he has now missed 2 seasons plus this years finals series.

              Apparently the Eagles were keen to offload him anyway and a 1st and 3rd round to get him way over the top in my view.

                Disagree, We would not be were we are if we did not have Ball and its a real blow hes out. Yes the Eagles could not wait to off load him but since hes been here Ex Eagles, fans and coachs have said many a time in the West Aus and on 6pr why did he not play like that for us.

                  Dpw, I agree with you that Ball has been a fantastic pick up for us, it's no coincedence that we've made the finals in both of the full seasons that he played, I just think we gave up too much for him.

                  It's just a shame that he's turning 31 this year instead of 26 or 27.

                  Hopefully though he's got a 2-3 more seasons left in him!

                    We probably need 1 more ruckman & Dean Cox's 204cm frame and age would make him a perfect choice I didn't think they would trade him,he'd be a great pickup.You could probably get Croad on the cheap from Freo I think they're very, very keen to offload him if we really wanted him

                      TC would be a topfull back his slighter shortness being complemented by his strength/ speed and spring.

                      He may be another player who sees Sydney as a chance to escape the limelight - he must have an almighty financial contract with the Shockers.
