They can say our opponents choked til the cows come home too. That only means we won .

Sure they are - but you can't control what happens to the opposition. Guess all I was trying to say was that we should be focussing our emotional energy on getting our boys up, regardless of who fronts up to play them. If they play to their potential, and believe they're up to the job, they'll go all the way, Leppa or no Leppa.

The Swannies have proved this year that, even if you take a handful of the most important players out of a team, a team that plays as a team will do the job over a more credentialled group.

leppa won't get booked if the kneeing, which is BTW illegal, wasn't deliberate. Otherwise he should get a week. I think that would be great for us, because the weaker the opponent the better, especially if it leads to GF.

        P.S. A little mistake there.

Appears that comments not made by Geischen were attributed to him.

I don't mind who plays for them. You know what, in a perfect world, we'd be playing the loser, Adelaide and wouldn't that be great hehe

Reality is, we're playing the Lions at full strength (personel wise) and I hope Leppa plays and I hope Lethal tries to send him forward and I hope he gets towelled because that trick is getting old. Lethal got so desperate last time, he tried to use Johnson to get him over the line...it didn't work because it was too late and we covered it.

If the Sydney Swans are good enough to take the flag, they will!

Finally, if we were in the same position as the Lions, I would be worried to buggary at how fresh the Swans will be with their week off, their niggles being repaired, their stars looming as very dangerous, their home crowd and the fact they went to AAMI Stadium recently and crushed a team that beat them at the Gabba a few months ago!

Our paranoia is way surpassed by what the Lions have growing in their heads.

Apparently they were made by Derek Humphery-Smith (the umpire who retired mid-year because umpiring was interfering with his professional career)

i don't think there' any question he put the knee and was very keen for pain to be inflicted after being beaten in the contest.

I guess was hoping that because he was already travelling in that direction (ie his crime was more allowing himself to cause injury rather than making a definite move to cause injury) he thought he could get away with a cheap one. He's probably right. He was always going to land somewhere on Burton's back, he just made sure he landed as hard and as pointily as possible. Reckon he'll not even get cited. Very lucky.

Reckon he's looked back at the video and gone, "Oh bugger, that was supposed to look accidental!"

Might get charged but unlikely that he'll get suspended.

They'll claim that anyway Lizz, even if Port & Pies joined forces against us and played four extra men the Melb media and fans would find some reason why we didn't deserve to win.

It's useless to even contemplate overcoming that sort of bias.

It's right. The Hun quotes AAP as saying Port's Lade is reported but Leppa has been cleared.

That's lucky for the Swans supporters who wanted Brisbane at full strength. I find it a bummer. Just makes it a bit harder for us.
