MMMmmmmm, I feel a little excited.....
I've got face paints too...all set to go out there red and white...I've been nervous all week.....Like most of you, my mind wanders away from the work I know I should be doing...but as you said S_S I'm proud of them no matter what, but i'd be even more proud if they had 2 more wins and came back with the Holy Grail....
    *shudder*

I think I'm getting more relaxed as the week's gone on. On monday, I was a wreck. Couldn't think, couldn't function. Today, I think I'm just about grinding into the "well, here it goes" realisation... I'm all geared up for it now. Got my Swans tracksuit on, got my Swans TOTC t-shirt on, got the swans cap on to control post-shower-fuzz, even got out the highly potent "pre-match-tension" socks (the cartoon character sitting on the armchair on the side of the socks is even good enough to be wearing a red and white beanie and scarf).

Cheer like there's no tomorrow, play like there's no tomorrow. Let's give 'em hell.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Just had to join in to this 'im sooooooo excited' thread.

I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited. Ditto on the can't work, ditto on the can't sleep, Bron and I have phoned each other several times for no other reason than to say "I'm so excited". My cat thinks I'm completely nuts and even people at work who hate sport are greeting me with 'go swans'! God I love it and I wouldn't be dead (or a Collingwood fan) for quids.

        Go you fantastic swannies!!
Patterns emerge, but do they mean anything? No.

Wore a Swans shirt to work today (don't usually wear logo'd stuff) as we were packing offices to move floors. Everyone knows I am a Swans freak (actually work with a friend of Kirky's fiancee too), and I've told them my new office will be decorated Red and White next week

          I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Wore my Swans team of the century shirt with pride this arvo. Put the streamers on the car aerial. Wore Swans tracksuit jacket yesterday as we toured the city with work people from o'seas.

Purchased grand final tickets today - as part of grand final dinner package. I was so excited afterwards I couldn't work. Kept telling everyone I can't believe I have grand final tickets. Now the guys have to win. Please I am sure they can. Go Swans Go.
            Love those Swans

I'm completely relaxed. Just not even thinking about it - which is the only way to be relaxed!!

I'm with the nervous ones, but...what a talented bunch of individuals, what a super coach, and above all, what a terrific TEAM! Win, lose or draw (and I've got everything crossed for a win) so long as they continue to play hard and fast, take their chances, look for each other and run, run, run - they'll be as thrilling as they have been this season. GO THE BLOODS!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I actually am getting to the point where I look for indicators of feelings that I usually get when I know we have been successful, the gut feelings that I have. I can only locate these in hindsight but I still search for them pre-game.

Somehow I think that if my plants align then that augers well for the team and they are unbeatable. Where do I get these philosophies from? One thing I do know and that is when a loss is looming and I don't have that feeling.

Expectations in my head and heart have heightened considerably since the finals commenced...this is our chance to make a legend of ourselves, for real this time.

The footy gods gave us one bit of luck and we can't let this slip. When Freo beat the Coast and Port beat the Crows, the Swans got a cherrished second shot/week off. We have to not disappoint the generous footy gods. I'm not a religious man but if god helps those who help themselves then he must know that we will meet our destiny on 27/9.

My luckiest charm is my wife (other superstitions), if she is happy, then they are a very good chance. She is very happy, I took her out to lunch today to make sure of it!

Do you sit in your garden and look at your roses and azaleas to check if they are aligned...
