Fresh in the mind, but Abletts goal in the 3rd quarter comes to mind. I was up the other end so didnt see the finer details, but I have always thought of Ablett as the new Gerard Bennett, but this final series could be the making of him. Roos obviously thinks so to pick him ahead of Stevens and Frostie.

I wouldn't really say it was the best play of the season, but a lot of the ones I were thinking have already been noted.

I think Willow's run to goal against Brisbane at the Gabba was pretty good. Good end to his milestone game.

I also think St Nick's goal against Collingwobble at the MCG was grand!

Kirk getting the old 'hip and shoulder' from Pickett only to get up in a matter of milli seconds.

Barry taking on about 3 Brisbane players at the Gabba and still getting the ball out (I think he got a goal from that?)

I also love the picture with Cressa holding our his guernsey at the Port game. Pointing to the greatest colours on earth! CARN' THE BLOODS!

We've a few to choose from. All those mentioned thus far, especially Kirk's pick-me-up against Port, which epitomised the team's approach that day. Others that stand out

Schneider's goal of the week against Collingwood

Crouch's shut-down job on Aker in the first Brisbane game

Goodes' mark on Brown's shoulders, and immediate play on to Hall in the second Brisbane game

Kennelly's goal (can't remember who it was against) when he tapped the ball on from a contest, received it back, ran, dodged and kicked truly.

Magic's spin around on the ground that led to a Schneider goal a few weeks ago

Bazza breaking tackles left, right and centre, week in, week out

James making it back to AFL footy and his face after they'd finished singing the song

Adam Schneider's SCG goal against Brisbane. Honestly, has there ever been a first year player's goal that has copped so many photo highlights?

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Two things stand out for me.
                  1. Nick Davis' sealer against Collingwood.
                  2. Michael O'Loughlin's speed with hand and foot near the sticks - he strikes like a taipan.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Last quarter of Anzac Day, i remember thinking a three quarter time "This is going to be a long year". I know we had great wins this season, but somehow I think that quarter was the one that really showed them it could be done.

I don't think it's my favourite moment, but a funny one I can think of from Saturday night was when Leo Barry charged through three Brisbane players head on. Classic Leo - brilliant stuff! My brother and I could not stop laughing for ages after that.

                        In no particular order

I think the ANZAC day final Qtr was very special

Nick's reaction to the goal against the pies (always smile when I see that - Diego - keep it as your avatar pls)

                        I have to include any one of Leo's Marks - "21 Swan's a Leaping"

the ermegence of Schnieder - I saw something in him a couple of years ago, after just talking to him, hadn't seen him play a game. If I had to choose a little brother I'd want him.

and of course the way my boy negated Rohan Smith in the Bulldogs game, by playing as a defensive HF.

Thanks guys. This thread has brought a smile back to my face

Some good, no great memories there!

So many I cannot choose my favourite, from Heath's joy to Leo's heroics to Cressa's jumper grabbing... what a year.

If only we could win another bloody premiership.

                          Carna Bloods.
"As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.

Here's a few - I could come up with one for every (winning) game this year, but here goes:

Entire last quarter against Melbourne, round 5, won't forget the first game I ever went to in a hurry, showed everyone what they could do

Nick Davis' goal against Collingwood + celebration, round 6

Schneiderman's goals against Brisbane at the SCG, honourable mentions to Magic and Crouchy's "goal of his career"

Smashing Essendon for the first time since whenever

Magic's 6-goal game against West Coast

Goodes' mark, Barry Hall's performance and Willo's goal on the siren against Brisbane at the Gabba - there were some great individual performances in both H/A games v the Lions (Schauble on Lynch, Crouch on Aker)

The "I see it but I don't believe it" 2nd quarter against Port in the finals, along with the post-match celebrations

Not spectacular but one that topped off one of the best matches of the season.

The icing on the cake being Willo in his 250th kicking the goal on the siren
