Hey, dont worry - we aren't all perfect, despite those who think they are. You relieved some stress - gotta be happy with that!
I'm not proud about the way I go on at times but hey thats life!
However they are delusional if they think they could ever go a sporting event anywhere in the world and it be a swearing/blasphemy free zone.

Anyway way kids - this girl has a heap of work to do!

    have a good one.

    cheers
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

I should have added to my post "I don't really agree with him"

      You're perfectly right.

But, to play devil's advocate, if we choose to have "Family Only Zones" we are basically highlighting how dissatisfied we are with ourselves and our own society, if accepted social behaviour (which is what we make it by saying "this is the norm, you sit in that specific spot to avoid it") is something that we feel children should be shielded from...

Again, just playing devil's advocate. I know that is the underlying argument.

As an ADULT if there are kids around you dont swear your head off, SIMPLE

If you do, go and support Collingwood !

There are always weak excuses for weak behaviour, and the "passion" and "last bastion" are just examples of that.

I have let "Bull****!" fly at the football on a number of occasions, but I cringe when I hear "F$#%ING C#^$!". Is "bastards" acceptible? How about "blind white maggots"? There's no swearing in that, so it must be OK for the kids to hear.

Being passionate is a weak excuse?

I'll rather have blood going through my veins than water. I don't condone swearing at the footy when there are kids around, but sometimes it just happens. I am at the footy.

My reactions away from a football ground are no where near as bad as when I am barracking. I found it more agonising when I walk down the street and see the way some parents treat their kids and the way teenagers act these days.

Anyway we should get back to aker and his stupidity.

"Brisbane Lions' outspoken Brownlow medallist Jason Akermanis caused another disturbance yesterday by revealing that he had deliberately circulated the story of a move to Sydney next year because he felt unappreciated and underpaid by the Lions.
Big deal. Agents do this all the time, and as Jason doesnt have an agent, and does all the negotiations himself, he has to compete with these guys to get top dollar.

I think its great that he doesnt use, or need an agent. "Agents" in any profession are pond scum.

                          Well said Diego

It happens and you are right - in my day (and I can say that as I am fast approaching 40!) we had a load more respect for people older than us than kids of today.

Whilst swearing is an abhorent thing - the kiddies are just as bad if not worse. (most - not all - covering all bases!)

anyway - agreed get back to Akers and his antics.

Hope he cops a bindy in his palm when he does the hand stand!

anyway - have just come back from a client lunch and dont feel like doing much - be good everyone!

                          cheers

I think after his performance walloping Leo in the Gabba game plus other incidents and his performance Saturday night, stuff him. Yeah, he is one out of the box and can amuse, and he doesn't put up with crap from King Eddie, but let him stay in bananaland...he is not what we need.
Sports do not build character. They reveal it....Heywood Broun

I always turn to the sports pages first, which record people's accomplishments. The front page has nothing but man's failures......Earl Warren

he likes to stir things up before big games doesn't he. And there's no bigger game than this Saturday.

Does he just have no idea or is he trying to deflect all of the attention to him and away from the team?
