Re coaching - I seem to recall reading somewhere that many years back Robert Walls' son was eligible to go to the Carrara Koalas under the F/S rule

Rule used to be 5 years as coach - Cornes' boys fell one year short of the Crows.

Not sure if they have changed it

Can anyone provide an update on how Sean's season went?

Sean was great down back in defence. He played FB all year and will be a definite starter next year at FB for any injuries or losses to our backline. He also took a fair amount of the kick-ins and is a decent kick. Didnt see much of his speed but his body work was good and covered well.

Will most certainly be a key position defender from what I saw.

Played most of year at FB I believe!

Well... The Ego only played 83 games for us anyway, so it's not a pertinent question, but isn't Indiana a girl?

The way it's going the rule will change another 5 times in the next 10 years anyway.

The next time a gun youngster whose dad played 99, 49, 12 etc games for Collingwood, the Pies will lobby to have the rule changed - just wait and see.

With Dempster I get the impression they have done what they did with Goodes, and probably see a similar midfield/forward role if all things go well.

I dunno? Dempster has played FB all year, dont think a roving midfield/forward is what Sean will be like Goodesy, but a definite KPP at FB

I think you'll find Steve was comparing Goodes not as a playing style, but the fact that Goodes played his first year solely at full-back for the 2's as a learning experience.

Remember we drafted goodes after he kicked 5 or 6 goals in the GF but he never got near the goals in his first year in sydney.
