you appear to be the expert but i do remember you bagging warwick capper earlier this season. i replied to your post that your criticism was unfair. you replied that you only began to support the swans in 1988, after capper played for the swans.

here are some facts- swans had only played in 2 finals series since 1945-( 1970,1977). this led to dwindling crowds and memberships. resulting in a poor financial position
- limited sponsorship - as they were not a consistent finalists
-the club was nearly bankrupt and owed big dollars
-after playing in sydney on a sunday ,the club believed that it might be able to survive by relocating. the club management at that time knew if they stayed in melbourne they would be declared bankrupt
-vfl push to play sunday football thwarted by victorian labour govt. sunday football in sydney telecast live on tv to melbourne was what vfl became interested in
