    Nico, Nico, Nico,
Yes you're right, Fixter debut'd in 2000, but he played so little (7 games) in 2000/2001 that he qualified as a Rising Star nominee in 2002.
But don't be so pendantic ~ 2002 was his first full season, and 2004 with any luck will see him develope into a first choice flanker, maybe even an onballer.

As to McVeigh junior, I think he is a better kick than Nick Fosdike but not as fast. He also seems unhurried (unlike Nick Fosdike who's a real bustler) but that poise may evaporate when he plays in the firsts sometime in 2004.

I may be wrong, but from what I saw, he looked a lot bigger than B2
He is - height wise and has broader shoulders. At 19 I'm sure he will only get bigger.

I aswell think McVeigh is too slight to mix it with the current players at the moment. Maybe in time ...

"maybe in time " ??? Jesus mate, we took this kid at pick number four, Roosy talked about the fact that he may win a brownlow (which I must admit at the time was a bit too much preasure to put on the kid), I mean really how much time ?? Surley the kid has to get a bit of time this yaer or we should have gone for Schammer in that draft !!!

Calm down! I meant that he is too slight now and he needs to bulk up. Obviously he will not stack on 15kilos overnight - hence the "maybe in time"

I agree with footyhead, McVeigh must and will play next season!
Of course some apponents will try to monster him but thats footy, we can't keep babying them till their 24.
Those who can remember Paul Kelly in his early days will see my point.

I don't understand why some players just seem to refuse to put on substantial muscle, (Saddo for one) this dispite being on a weight and food programe, with some of the best professional help in the world ! Why can't saddo put on a bit of beef ? Where's the love ? Surley after a year and a half of weights and chomping down protein pills and whatever else they can legally get into him, wouldn't you think that McV. should be a bit of a burly bastard ? jesus I only have to do 3 lots of 25 push ups and I grow a couple of sizes !!

B2 is bigger, but they are close according to their profiles

I cry every time I see Schammer we should of taken him!. He missed the whole preseason in his first year and had 30 touches in his first game of WAFL. IMO he is far a head of Mcviegh and really believe we blew it in not taking him I saw everyone of his games and the kid will be a star mark my words. As for Mcviegh the jury hasn't even sat yet!.

After reading my comments about Thewlis, Bevan etc. I'm feeling quite bouyant about about Ricky Barham and my player judgement
