      Welcome Foreign.

Given your "unbiased" status, I'm interested to know why you rated Barry and Kirk so low.

They both just missed out on AA selection last year, and barring injury each must have at least five years left in their careers.

I would think that they would be pretty highly rated by Roos?

Don't get me wrong here, this list isn't in order of how good I think the players are - its in tradability.

Both Kirk and Leo are crackers (great) - especially Kirk - who I believe has made the Swans better by making all opposition midfields less effective.

This is the area that I believe the Swans need most improvement in - midfield - and I think that you have taken two great recruits from this year's draft - Schmidt and Willoughby - these will be great for you but will need 3+ years to develop into top flight midfielders.

The only reason that I ranked both thes players (Leo and Kirk) so low is age (both about 27 years old) and profile - the midfielder build is the most common - so a team looking for players usually wants talls or KPP - midfielders they usually recruit themselves as kids and develop them therefore not as much market value.

There are plenty of midfielders who have been high profile trades (or attempted trades) - Nick Stevens, Nathan Brown, Des Headland, Shane Woewodin, Kane Johnson are just a few high profile ones in recent seasons who spring to mind without doing an exhaustive think. And at the next level down (which players like Kirk would probably fit into) there is usually plenty of interest as well.

Kirk maybe 27 but he probably has the physical capacity to play good footy for another 5 or so years at least. He is supremely fit and doesn't have a history of injury worries.

Barry isn't a midfielder - he is a medium defender with the ability to play much taller than his height. He also plays with a flair and recklessness rare in players in his position.

Most teams in the comp would happily take either of them, I reckon.
