Ok... unless Erickson is injured, our number six (6!) ruckman has some work to do if he can't get into a team where 12 out of 24 players have never played a senior game... what about Thewlis? I think he's injured, yes?

Certainly not going to worry about losing by 11 points to a side with Matthew Lloyd when we had 17 players who've played 10 games or less.
    We hate Anthony Rocca
    We hate Shannon Grant too
    We hate scumbag Gaspar
    But Leo WE LOVE YOU!

we got there just after the game started. (my sister officially thinks I'm obsessed as I left the birthday party early and am in trouble with her still no doubt)

I tend to agree with everything posted, but would like to add I was impressed with Aaron Rogers. Although he was outclassed, he played hard at the contest and is a strong lad. He remined me appearance wise a little of Mott. Given experience I think he could be the missing link in the backline we need.

Schmidt did a lot of running.
      Ablett looked trim anmoved well.
McVeigh was very good. It's to see he's bulked up a bit.
Buchannan also looked to have put on a little bulk
      Fixter was great.
Goodes looked like he's just stepped off the field from last year. He was hungry and given the heat was moving well and was very tenatious in the contest.
I was also impressed by Malceski. He was all over the midfield and played well.

All in all I think it was a good hit out for the boys.
Here's my heart and you can break it
I need some release, release, release
      We need
      Love and peace

At one point we thought that Jude had played more games than the rest of the guys on the field for the Swans put together!

Yes Saddo was like a rag doll, but it was not only in the strenth dept that llyod beat him, it was also in the depts of anticipation, speed and on the lead.
It's time Saddo learns his limitations and plays accordingly.

How should Saddo play Lloyd? From what I have seen of lloyd there are are very few players in the AFL who can match lloyd on his day . His record as a goalkicker is outstanding . Saddo is a half back not a full back. Even Schauble who had an outstanding season in 2003 had problems with Lloyd last year..

If Saddo "LEARNT HIS LIMITATIONS" I doubt if the outcome would be any different

I tend to agree with this. Any defender would have needed help against Lloyd, whether it be to block his leading space, or to help out as third man up in the contest.

Its hard to believe he put on an extra 7kg during the offseason, considering hes now 25yo. You hear kids put on that much weight in an attempt to bulk up to withstand the rigors of AFL.
