Yeah, I reckon this kid looks seriously talented from what little I've seen of him. As I said a little while ago, I think he will either be a star or nothing.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Originally posted by lizz How 'bout Malceski? Seems to have been getting some wraps from the club and a couple of opposition supporters who've seen him have commented (over on BF) that he looks like a player. Not expecting him to "do a Schneider" this year but maybe could "do a Powell" and at least set himself up for 2005.
The reports have all been positive, but wasn't he left out of the Wiz Cup match after being in the original squad? He wasn't down as injured, and you would have thought that if Roos really wanted to throw him into the mix, that would have been the game to do it.
He and Thewlis were both grabbed as value choices late in the 2002 draft, after injury wrecked their seasons that year.
Since then, Thewlis has shown a lot when injury has permitted, according to reports. I haven't actually seen him play. Malceski has been mentioned by Roos every time he's been asked to name youngsters who are close to selection. That in itself is advertises the fact that he is held in high regard.
We hate Anthony Rocca
We hate Shannon Grant too
We hate scumbag Gaspar
But Leo WE LOVE YOU!
I like Rogers, McVeigh, Buchanan, O'Keefe and Ablett.
Not necessarily in the above order but all are possibles, have not seen the last two practice games but from what is posted here all are putting their everything into the game. Especially Buchanan and I hope it works for him.
I saw Amon Buchanan versus Essendon at North Sydney several years ago, he looked skilful but slow, have seen no practice footage this year but encouraging to hear his efforts, does he still seem to lack pace?
How is Aaron Rogers delivery, it was appalling as a junior, if he still can't kick will be a good replacement for Schaubs!
Hope Powell can kick on, he looks to have a great attack on the ball, would hope he might turn out to be a Scarlett type....
Sports do not build character. They reveal it....Heywood Broun
I always turn to the sports pages first, which record people's accomplishments. The front page has nothing but man's failures......Earl Warren
I like the chances of several mentioned - McVeigh, Buchanan, Malceski and O'Keefe.
The smokey - especially if there are injuries in the back six - Heath James.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
i really hope its fosdike as well. To be taken at number 3, it would be a shame if he didnt live up to his potential. Hes already a very servicable player, and he improved out of sight last year.
McVeigh can't be a bolter at this stage simply because he is expected to be a top player.
Fosdike can be a bolter because he currently plays like a 33 draft pick, not a 3.
Chris Judd was a 3, Pavlich was a 4, Xavier Clarke was a 5.
Malceski and O'Keefe will be mentioned in dispatches this year the way Kirk, Barry and Bolton were last year

Originally posted by timthefish i have faith in fosdike. it's gotta happen this year though.
Fosdike has had enough seasons now, he should be a REGULAR top performer, not a once in a while top performer. His decision making in recent times has been poor. So he will have to perform this year or he should be traded!
