Lynch to miss round 1.........

Leigh Matthews confirmed on channel 10 news tonight that Lynch is unlikely to line up this week due to a hamstring strain.

That's no Brown or Lynch which is helpful.

Although he did go onto say that Leppa was now likely to play (but will be well underdone) and of course it looks like Voss will make it out onto the park.

Well, that's a relief. At least the Schauble loss is nullified now.

I'm not too concerned if Leppa plays, unless he goes forward. If he does, then we could be in trouble.

Well this is great news RE : Lynch

I am very relieved to hear as such - and nulifys both teams injuries to an extent - though I think Brisbane is suffering more than us by the looks of it.

If there is any time to strike Brisbane it is now.

great time to play Brisbane... they seem to be alot more underdone than the swans... so with Lynch,Brown,Chris Scott,Beau McDonald and possibly Leppa out.

We should play a tall team including Ball,Doyle,Goodes & Hall rotating in and out of the forward line to match up on Michael and Leppa/Bradshaw one of which would be up forward.

Should be a great game, the on the couch guys only had a little bit to say about the game... none of them thought we would replacate last years success, stupid media people.

Lethal is doing a great job of foxing and stirring. He's had to reach right into the bottom drawer of old mind tricks and slightly used coaching ploys to get his team over the line on this one.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Lynch, Leppitsh and Voss all play.

How well prepared are the Swans?Roos was complaining that the preparation was way behind because of the poor state of the training ground.I know they went away and got in some good training but how can you make up for lost training when everything is planned to the minute.

I still give the Swans a good chance and I am looking forward to seeing a fit Micky O working with Barry.

From a media perspective, I think the Swans have more downside from this game.

If we win, then I suspect that much of the focus will be on the missing and underdone Lions.

If we lose, then I suspect that the Lions will firm even more as premiership favourites, while some may begin already to raise doubts about us.

Of course, it also depends a lot on the nature of the game and how it is played.

Still, I don't really mind what the media says afterwards. Main thing I want to see is us play well and hopefully win.

I'm waiting until Thursday evening for the teams to be named until I get too excited, although my initial reaction at reading Lynch may not play was disbelief, I thought I read the wrong name and then as it dawned me I wasn't seeing things a little smile crept across my face.
