Aftermatch Functions

To Captain,

Thanks for your input, unfortunately the other committments I refer to are for other sponsors and supporters. Some players attend the Chairmans club, some the Highmark club and some the Fox and Lion all of which are filled with Major sponsors and supporters. The Aftermatch function in the Noble stand is meant for all Swans members. You say that the Aftermatch function in the Noble Isn't a proper or decent one, I think many out there will argue differently on that point. The Fox and Lion IS a sponsor of the team that is why players go there and if the Swans were to have one big Aftermatch for every sponsor, member and supporter there simply would not be an area big enough to hold everyone plus there are children that go to these so the Fox and Lion is an unacceptable place for them to be. I can see your passion and enthusiasm which is fantastic but the players simply can't do everything.

To the other posts, I definately keep those who are a little intoxicated OFF the stage. I will mention the Press confernce feed to the club and see what they can do and try for a board member or someone high up from the club to come along. I will also try to get some celebrity guests up for an interview when I see them at the game.

Thanks for your reply and reasons.

Let me clarify, I wasn't having a go at the current after match, it is definitely much appreciated. It's just a pity that all members and sponsors can't be accommodated. I feel sorry that you have to work with limited material, nothing is harder for an MC.

It's just frustrating when clubs like West Coast and Freo can pull off a large aftermatch function.

I feel strongly about this issue as I'm a huge fan of the aftermatch/social club and believe it unites everyone.

I like the idea of a trivia contest on footy and charades... and also i was thinking about maybe a comedian..... know that's probebly a bit too much but maybe something along those lines....just a suggestion...
