One player who does not get big wraps often is Sandilands. Most commentators picked him as best player against Carlton. At 211cm and now a massive 120 kgs he could have a big influence on the game . Last year I thought that he was reasonably mobile for a then lean 114 kgs and tended to play a link role with neat kicks and handpasses. With the extra bulk and confidence I would expect him to play a more traditional ruck role. Could be an interesting match up against our talls.

The worst thing we could do is to go into a game against a side that has had the wood on us for a few seasons and assume that we've got it made. I'm not tipping Freo for the GF, but they are a good side, well coached, and imo they deserve their ranking of top eight by most commentators. I'll be there yelling! He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

What will be interesting is comparing the value of a dominant tap ruckman with one who is dominant around the ground. Sandilands will be unstoppable in the ruck with the potential of giving Freo's midfield first use of the ball. It will be a good test for our midfield and possibly for our backline as well.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Even with Goodes' athleticism, I think he gives away too much height to this Giant from the West.Comment

Hi, this is my first post... I'm a Swans supporter living in WA.
I think we should win but it won't be easy. Since I see a lot of Freo, I think you are seriously under-rating their talents. Top 4 side along with us, Saints and Brisbane for mine. They have an abundance of young talent. Let's not take them easy.
Hope Goodes and Davis are OK. Goodes should be fine since he returned and all... not sure about Davis. Anyone have any news?
Anyway, should be a top contest next week.
My first post like yours, I live in WA as well had to put up with all the docker and eagle supporters saying how great there team won.(hahaha) What a joke they both beat the bottom 2 side's of last year. When we kill the dockers on sunday they will say it's because we played away from home.(boo hoo)
That's my first post hope it turn's out right.
(where is my wife i got my paul kelly pillow case out.)

Two exiting young sides , chock full of young stars , on a ground the size of a postage stamp....can you ask for better?!
Plus ,we still owe you one for palming Drummy on to us .If the Wiz didn't play for us , i'd Think he was irritating too!Comment
