I've been trying to get my head around all the injury news that is floating about. Here's my best summation as it relates to this weeks team:
INs
Stephen Doyle - Almost certain.
Has kicked 5 goals in his last two reserve matches and it is perceived that he will be required to bolster our ruck strength against Sandilands.
Adam Schneider - Very Likely.
Supposedly he has recovered from his hamstring injury. Certainly in our best 18 and with Davis injured we're desperate for him. However, I don't believe he played reserves at the weekend so he hasn't played now since the Carlton game (?).
Tadhg Kennelly - Possible.
It's unbelieveable to me that he could have recovered from surgery already, but there are whispers that he will play.
Amon Buchanan - Possible.
Reported as BOG for the reserves on the weekend. If Schneider dosen't play (or is required in the midfield) he might get an opportunity, but you would think that one of the youngsters that played last week would retain their spot over Amon.
Sundqvist - Unlikely.
Played well in the reserves last week and is always on the periphery of selection. However, McVeigh Bevan etal will get a game ahead of him.
OUTs
Nick Davis - Injured.
Bugger. Who knows when we'll see him again. I won't be holding my breathe.
Lewis Roberts-Thomson - Very Unlikely.
With the likely inclusion of Doyle, against any other team he may have been a victim of team balance (given he really didn't do much last weekend, or ever [personal bias]). However, Fremantle are pretty tall team. Required.
Paul Bevan - Possible
Luke Ablett - Possible
Mark Powell - Possible
Depending on inclusions the required demotions will come from this group. All did OK last week, but they are the most junior members of the squad. McVeigh will be given time.
