Trivia Warm Up Round 3 - Double Round

Due to me not posting last week on this, I am posting 10 questions this week instead of 5.

    Current Scores are:
    NMWBloods: 4
    Ert: 4
    Norris Lurker: 4
    Snajk: 4
    Liz: 3.5
    JS: 0.5

Having 10 questions this week means it's really a good chance for people to make a start and still be up there with the leaders! Go for it!

    Round Three
    1. Which well known rapper was shot dead in his recording studio last year?

    2. Your mobile phone requires a SIM card to operate. What does SIM stand for?

    3. Add up the 2003 guernsey numbers of Ryan Crawford, Jarrad McVeigh, Nic Fosdike and Mark Powell, then subtract Ryan O'Keefe and Nick Davis's numbers from that total. Divide what you have left by the round number of when we play Port Adelaide at AAMI Stadium this season and tell me the first club the player with the guernsey number you get came from. Show all working out used.

    4. When did Australia celebrate its Bicentenary?

    5. Which "myth" was invented by a now very large company whose original product was developed in Atlanta? Bonus: Which company was it?

    6. Complete the next line:
"Now Bob at the bar, he's a friend of mine / He gets me my drinks for free"

    7. Soccer team Arsenal commonly go by which nickname?

    8. A "Tortoiseshell" is a breed of which species of animal?

sorry moderator I'm not in the competition but I do enjoy being a pain in the bum. /smartarse on/

Your mobile phone requires a SIM card to operate. What does SIM stand for?
          Security/Subscriber Identification Module
The S has never stood for Security, only Subscriber. It is defined in the European Telecommunications Standards Institute Standard, GSM 01.04 Abbreviations and Acronyms, www.etsi.org.

I told Gembo that it was Subscriber, but would she believe me????

            I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

I cross checked that, having thought it was originally subscriber, and came up with security and subscriber, both several times. Because I couldn't get a definite answer either way, either answer was acceptable.
