    Heath James

If he keeps playing like he has the last two weeks, we have our answer at full-back.

He was great today. Blanketed Longmuir for the majority of the match... when he went onto Simmonds, he gave away one, was unlucky with that free kick... and the goals didn't count for anything anyway.

    Very pleasing.

I still don't think he'll be the answer at FB this season, that Schauble's spot in the team and most likely for the next few seasons as well. However he'll be more than a handy back pocket. I have been impressed with him so far and he does his job well. Put him on the 2nd key forward and we don't have that much to worry about. Good to see he is finally over his run of injuries (touch wood) and hopefully he becomes a key solid defender over the next 5 to 7 years.
    Once was, now elsewhere

Yep - I'm pretty pleased with the work he has done so far. Considering his lack of senior match experience, he seems to have slotted into the defence pretty well.

I really am impressed with Heath James...really like what he has done thus far. Unlucky to have that free paid against him..but am understanding why they have kept on after so many injuries.

Like i mentioned on another thread, I think he could take the FB position. Schauble would prefer something like CHB anyway. But definitely have more confidence in the back line now.

Common theme with premiership teams is the rock solid back 6.

With Barry, Kennelly, Bolton, James, Schauble and Saddington we are very well placed.

We also have Crouch and Mathews to drop in as small defenders.

I agree, I don't think he is the answer at fullback, but he has been very impressive. At least he might be able to help out when we play the likes of Essendon, to cover Lloyd.

I wouldn't play Jamesy on a Lloyd at this stage of his career, still prefer Schuable for that type of job.

I was very impressed with James today finally was able to show why we held onto him.

I think you'd all have to agree that it looks like we've at least found our #2 key defender, along with Schauble. Get them both on the park at once and we can build a solid defense around them. Our spine is starting to really take shape.

I would love to see James hold down full back allowing Schauble to move up to CHB.

                        Crouch, James, Bolton
                        Barry, Schauble, Kennelly/Saddington

Looks a bloody good back 6 to me. Let's hope Jamesy can remain injury free.

James is really starting to fire up and its great to see. Another big defender means saddington is free to float around the ground like he used to when he was younger.

James! In only his (some number less than 10) th AFL game is doing an outstanding job. He will only get better and I think could be our permanent FB, with Schauble out at CHB. Schauble may come back for the gorillas in Lynch and Neitz, but James looks to be able to handle most so far.

                              very, very pleasing outcome.
