    The positives?

    We got the 4 points.

    That is all.

Anyone got anything else to add???

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Heath James keeps on improving. His play down back so far this season has been great and with Schauble out of the side though injury he has more than covered him. We might just have found our answer to our problems down back.

McVeigh and Beven are the next wave of junior talent coming out of the Canberra League. These 2 have been great so far. McVeigh just looks and acts the part and will have a (hopefully) long carear ahead of him. Beven on the other hand might be the real find of the season. Will be a handy back up to Leo and Tadhg to provide run off the half back and by the looks of things if he can't get game time in that area, he can go forward if need be.

Crouch, Kirk, Mathews and Fosdike are playing bigger roles in the midfield and that might be what the doctor ordered to replace Cressa. Kirk doesn't seem to be tagging in the style of last season and Crouch is working off his man more and more thus becoming an attacking threat. Mathews and Fosdike on the other hand are becoming ball winners in the middle and do link up well with the other more established midfielders.

Another positive is clearly the defence. Hasn't lost anything on last season despite Schauble out injuried and Saddo not playing as big a part as before. Barry and Craig Bolton are doing alot of work both ways and as stated above Heath James is solid at Full Back.

Good signs are that the likes of Paul Williams and Jude Bolton could be playing better football, but are still bobing up with the posessions and having a bit of impact here and there. Goodes seems to gone off the boil abit since the Lions match, and Hall could still do better. All in all its good to know, these guys are working their way into their best form.

Saddo tonight would of got so much confidence out of his play tonight. He has hit rock bottom and has gone back to basics. Taken out of an important role in defence he is been given the time to sort himself out and work his work into form. While tonight was his best match all season, he still has about 30% improvement in him and with him not making any stupid mistakes over the last 2 weeks he'll get better as the season goes on and in time he'll find his true role in the teams and hopefully he can have the impact he once had. Just not at CHB

Good to see we are 2-1 and not 1-2 like we were last season. We didn't reach our peak until rounds 5-8 last season and by the looks of things, the same will happen this season as well, only this time we'll hopefully he better placed.

McVeigh's goal was very nicely taken.
Schneider showed a bit of spark (BTW, if Buchanan stays in the team, the commentators are going to have a fun time differentiating them. They had trouble telling the difference b/w Ball and Doyle )
James improved and showed solid form, but on TV it seemed he was caught out by the leading forward, whether he was giving too much space or not quick enough I couldn't tell from TV

          Can't think of anything else.

P.S. Robbie its Bevan not Beven.

Best part of the night was when the game was over - a man with an Irish flag who had amused us all night ran on to the ground, followed by three other guys who were pretty evasive. I always fell sorry for the security guys at times like those. Still, we got to see Schneider in a coppers hat Cheeky, but made a painful night more bearable.

            Plus, no kick-to-kick

I thought Saddington was great, the umpires were crap (I almost lost it in the thrd quarter when the throw wasn't paid in our forward 50 - we were sitting maybe 10 metres away and it was as blatant as they come, the only problem being the umpire was on the wrong side of the play, and the boundary umpire who saw it as clear as day cannot adjudicate there...argh), Jason Ball has the heebie jeebies and Goodes' main aim for the game seemed to be to take a speccy.

I think the worst mix up is b/w mcveigh and fosdike - it happens all the time!

Just wait till we completely fool them with the Thewlis/ Warfe switch.

Didn't Saddington play the last half in the backline? That's just my obsevation from being at the game.

Hopefully this was the one true shocker of the year.

Don't know if there were many positives - hopefully the injuries are very short-term

Was that the first guy who was ushered away by security? Or the three others that followed?

I swear at one stage he was about to shoot for the wrong goal. He did that barreling through all the players thing, swivelled around towards goal and... kicked it away from goal, thankfully, after nearly giving me a heart attack.

You weren't the only one almost having the heart attack - I was screaming Barry the goal's the other way

Saddo got a bit of everything tonight. Seem to be forward when we attacked and when Geelong attack Saddo seemed to be nearby. From tonights match one thing did stick in my mind and that was when he got the ball in the centre of the ground, and kicked it long. Maybe we could think of throwing him in the midfield to brake open a game. In any case he seemed to me to be a loose man in defence and did it well.

All should play next week, though Kennelly might have some rib damage that could keep him out. The rest should be OK

Troy got Cressa up for the aftermatch function. Nice to see the great man after so many months. He's bought a house in Geeeee-long (sorry can't get it outta my head after listening to it all flippin night at the match). Sorta like their club song - sounds like the old tv ad for kia-ora. Stop me if i'm wrong ...

We arm wrestled 'em all night. Thankfully, yes .. it's our only crap match for the year. But as they say .. a win is a win.

He was sitting right next to us. He was mucking around with my nephews with their flags.

He was keeping us laughing too.

Best for me was we won after playing not very well. And Heath is improving.
