I reckon most likely to be Goodes or Hall.
Using hypothesis testing via confidence intervals:
Nick Davis mark inside 50 = goal

Would absolutely love it if they gave it to Crouch, but I don't think it would happen unless his on-field roll changed to be more similar to that of Maxfield and less negating, same with Kirk.

I'd go Crouch, Willo, Goodes, Kennelly, Hall, J Bolton

I do think Hall would be a great leader. However, IMO a captain should be in the midfield, running around in the midst of the action.

I do agree that Bolton would be a great captain. Bolton or Goodes... take your pick!

Although I did tell Schneider at the BaF last year that he should and could be the next captain, after a sensational 1st year

Leo for me.By far the bravest and most inspirational player on the list.
I don't see why a midfielder has to be captain.A backman can see up the field and help with positioning and marking up if needed.
I am worried that captaincy might neuter BBBB.He needs to play with a bit of mongrel in him.

Although at the moment the best captains in the league are the major ball winners for their sides, Voss, Bell, Cousins etc, I don't agree that all captains should be midfielders. Take Neitz for example, he's in the foward line and yet still does a good job captaining Melbourne.
I agree that Leo Barry and Goodes would be a wise choice as well as perhaps Kennelly in the not too distant future.

Note that Bazza is not part of the current leadership group (10 players plus Maxie).

Hard to judge who should be next captain when a lot comes down to respect a person has within the playing group and the club as a whole.

Do we really want a captain that needs on-field 'minders' to help him pull his head in before he loses it? That kind of support is what the captain needs to be giving, not receiving.
To all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!

I think you'll find if you read my message properly that I didn't say all captains are in the midfield or that they all should be. I simply wrote IMO which last time I checked meant In My Opinion.

From what I've been told, I'm surprised that you can remember ANYTHING from the best and fairest!
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

I know its probably too far away to call but I think Meiklejohn is almost a certainty to be the next swans captain. Forget Goodes or Jude if they were really serious they'd be wearing helmets too

My choice would be Jared Crouch. I actually spectulated him as a possible choice outside of Stuie, Willo and Cressa when Kell retired.

How more inspirational can you be than not missing a game for as long as he has. He has been injured, but his tenacity got him back on the field each time He is also cluey enough to know when to speak and when not to (Aka's attacks for example). He also wants to be a role model for the kids out there.

Bron, what does (BSMBH) mean? I've been meaning to ask for some time now.
Here's my heart and you can break it

                            Still think it's JB FSC.

Don't think Jude would make a good captain he needs to concentrate on his own game, the burden of leading others would most likley detract from his game as he needs to be continuly working on his disposal.
